Very good food, nice view over the river, close to the the express boat stop. Complimentary boat transportation to River City shopping centre.

Breakfast is good, but the resturants at the hotel could not be recomended except of simple meals like the Tom Yong Gong (shrimp soup). The hotel has a nice and free shuttle boat service of about 20 min to the more central part of Bankok and without the usual trafic jam !

I have stayed here several times and always think it is good value

Our riverfront room was enormous, quiet and comfortable, with a big balcony and quiet view of the river, since the nearest road was a bridge downstream. By Thai hotel standards, there was some wear and tear on outdoor paintwork and bath room tiling evident, but good value. Hotel staff polite and quick to respond. Breakfast great, terrace eating areas pleasant, useful fridge in room with complimentary water. Two good cheaper restaurants next door, short walk to ferry,hotel ferry good but inconvenient destination for Sky Train. Convenience store just outside hotel and 7/11 store on way to ferry.We loved the location but if you want easy downtown locations at night you have to take a 25minute taxi ride for about 150 Baht, though your bargaining might be better. Pool looked fine, not luxurious, but we had no time to use it. I would happily stay there again.

Excellent hotel. Situated a way out of the main drag but worth it for the peace and quiet that the river-side location afforded. Noted that floors were being upgraded so would need to take that into account if staying on a floor to be worked on. The restaurant is very good and quite well priced. Wouldn't stay anywhere else.

We found the staff very friendly and extremely helpful.A little trouble with some communication but always someone willing to help.Food in the restaurant was well presented and of a high standard.

Best value river front rooms with balconies in Bangkok, along with good service, an excellent breakfast choice and complimentary shuttle boat to River City. There is also a helpful taxi service attached to the hotel. This was my third visit and I must say that the Royal River offers excellent value for money. I simply don't know how they can offer what they do for the prices they charge!

A wonderful place to stay in Bangkok. It is located on the Thonburi side of the city away from the busiest parts. It is a nice, peaceful neighborhood suitable for family, honeymooners, and folks who want a peaceful stay in Bangkok. The staff are friendly and kind. They are helpful in every way making the visitor feel at home. The buffets are amazing. The rooms are spacious with fabulous views of the city. You can rest assured of your safety and comfort when you stay.

I like this hotel. It has a nice feel to it. Everything was spot on and even the staff seemed exceptionally friendly and happy at their work. I also like the location right by the river. Its a nice little adventure to use the river bus to some of the main temples and the Royal Palace, just 10 minutes down the river. It is also quite close to one of the largest Department stores out of town. You can get just about anything there at good prices.

A friendly, good value and pleasant hotel. Riverfront rooms have a great view of the Chao Phraya river. Hotel is handy for two local express boat piers and various local restaurants/shops, but it's not really a tourist area. My 2nd visit and happy to stay there again.

Perfect location for me and my guests. This beautiful luxury hotel is on the beautiful river "Chao Phraya - River of Kings". The staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a nice pool and fitness center, as well as many great restaurants. It is a peaceful place. You cannot go wrong here!

This hotel is the best in Bangkok! It is very beautiful, accommodating in every way. The view is wonderful, and it is in a very quiet and nice neighborhood. The staff is so friendly and helpful. They have a fabulous dinner cruise on the River of Kings, The Chao Phraya. There is a very nice pool and fitness centre, and it has the best food...I highly recommend this hotel for any traveller.

I've been staying at the Royal River Hotel in Bangkok for many years. I'm a tour guide there and I find that this hotel is perfect for everyone's needs. English is spoken there, the food is fabulous. It is within easy access of all the city's sights. Rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is excellent and go past the usual to assist visitors and to make them feel welcome and comfortable. A wonderful place to stay and I will recommen it highly. I will also stay there again and again...

Staff consistantly went out of their way to provide exceptional service. We even had a room with a view. I highly recommend this as a reasonably priced hotel.

The outdoor buffet restaurant down the street makes for an interesting dining experience.

Buffet breakfast was really excellent value especially as it was included in the price of the room. At $23 a night (through internet) it was excellent value in the heart of a big city. Within 10 - 15 mins drive to main shopping areas. Close to Grand Palace and Wat Pho- just a river taxi away
