Getting there:By taxi from Pudong International Airport 46km, it take 1 hour; From Hongqiao Airport 18km,it take 30 minutes; From Shanghai Railway Station 5km,it take 15 minutes.
Check-in Procedure:Our check-in time is after 12:00pm and early checking-in will be charged half day of full day room rate according to the situation.
Car parking:Free for in-house guests.
Child Policy:Children under 12 years old are free of charge when using existing bedding.
Beautiful hotel in excellent part of Shanghai. We were on a stopover so wanted to avoid the frenetic part of town and have a more relaxed, old Shanghai experience. This hotel was an historic, comfortable and relaxed place to stay. Good breakfast included and a complementary bottle of wine add to the ease of your stay. We did not go into the other buildings but had lovely rooms in both buildings 1 and 2 (due to booking error we were upgraded - how unusual is that?) and would recommend you ask to stay in these bits. There are plans to expand the hotel and build large new building. This to us seems a terrible shame but hope that they do it sympathetically and that the character of the hotel does not change and become corporate or impersonal.
the hotel staff were very helpful in setting up connections and tours when i asked for help...the hotel is very close to many restaurants in the french concession and xintandi...rooms were clean and comfortable
At 25 square meters, our deluxe rooms are larger than the average guestroom. In all rooms you will find comfort and convenience, broadband internet, and a separate shower and bathtub. Most rooms also have views of our well-kept lawn and a few rooms even have private balconies for further outdoor relaxation.

Location good, consistency in rooms product not so good. Staff tries hard but English is still a challenge for most staff. Wonderful location.
This was my first visit to Shanghai. We were thrilled with the excellent location of the hotel and the history of the property and that it is a garden oasis in an enormous city, with the added bonus of being in the charming, atmospheric 'French Concession'. We had booked at the last minute and were allocated a room in bldg 3 on 4th floor facing the garden. The room was large with a king bed and spa bath as well as shower. It was quiet, clean and well appointed. The staff were always helpful and courteous. It is not a new hotel and some of the public areas would benefit from updating but it represents excellent value for money. I would make the Ruijin my first preference the next time I am in Shanghai
