Great hotel. Close to city centre and only a few hunderd meters from the beach. Highly recommended
This hotel is currently undergoing redecoration and modernisation. But in no way did this impact adversely on the stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location absolutely brilliant and my room very comfortable and quiet. Breakfast good. Would stay there again without hesitation.
A two star hotel providing clean, adequate rooms with en suite facilities. Rooms are being upgraded but this incurs extra cost. Breakfast quite good, cereals, fruit juice and choice of cooked English/ham/kippers. Very nice barman but bar seating quite basic and no lounge. No entertainment. Dinner is available but we didn't try it. Probably better during high summer - we stayed middle of September. Lots of complaints from fellow guests about £5 per day for parking in hotel car park. Redeemed by excellent location.
We had quite a large booking for our wedding and were generally very happy with the hotel.
Good situation, convenient for theatres and beach. Hotel was adequate, appeared to be undergoing refurbishment. Very hard bed but room was reasonably clean, and breakfast was OK, staff were helpful but we just felt something was missing, came away feeling it was OK but nothing special. As we had a late room deal the price was good, I wouldn't have been happy paying the full rate for this.
Reasonable hotel: good breakfast, generally clean. Extras were expensive eg £3.00 for 30 minutes on internet, £5.00 to store a suitcase(the first time I have ever come across such a charge). Good location, friendly staff. Bar was very expensive.
Reception were in the middle of training a new employee(?), and so could not be bothered to attend to us when we signed in until they had finished talking to the new trainee - 5 mins. The room - a double - also had a third 'put-up' bed in it, which made it VERY cramped. The bed should have been dismantled and removed before we were given the room. No bill was offered or given on checking out.
A cheap and basic hotel in a good location right next door to one of the towns more eleborate 4 star examples. Breakfast in with the basic price but a little limited with the time allowed for breakfast. I think that the hotel should advise about the car parking fee and the charge for using a credit/debit card at the hotel (£2.50 currently)
hotel clean but decor verging on shabby, beds on the hard side
Although the decor was a little tired in places, it still did not detract from the overall impression of the hotel. It was a great, mid budget hotel with really kind staff. I'd stay there again without a doubt.
Our experience was very positive. The hotel staff went out of their way to be sure that we had everything we needed.
There was a power cut while I was there that affected the whole town. The staff were unphased and very helpful and apologetic. The food was excellent for the price, lots of choice. Staff pleasant.
Hotel staff were friendly. Would stay there again.
