Getting there:To access the Hotel from the Auckland Airport, we recommend using Super Shuttle which is $25 inc gst for the first person & $7 inc gst per person after that travelling together. A taxi fare from the Airport will be approximately $60 each way, taking approximately 45 minutes.
Check-in Procedure:Our Check-In time is from 14:00. Earlier check-ins may be arranged subject to availability and may incur a fee. On arrival at the Hotel you will be asked for your credit card imprint or NZ$100.00 inc gst per night for a bond, which is refundable on departure.
Car parking:Valet Parking is available at a charge of NZ$30.00 inc gst per car per night. Note a maximum of 1.9metres applies in carpark.
Child Policy:Guests aged 12 and under are classed as children and can access free of charge accommodation when using existing bedding. They can also access 50% off food in our Circa Restaurant when dining with an adult.

We stayed here twice during our time in New Zealand. We enjoyed the hotel both times. It's in a great location - right near the Sky Tower.
Nice clean room, friendly staff and very convenience as the hotel is in the heart of the city right nest to Sky City.

We found the room in the hotel clean. However, there were stains on the carpet in the hallway near the elevators. There could have been a top up of our coffee sachet's for our room. Our room had no view, and was noisy on the Saturday night that we were there. When departing, we found it difficult to get out of our room with the cleaning trolley parked right outside. The concierge staff were most helpful.

Check in was average a smile would have been nice. We asked for a high floor but apparantly no upgrades were available. Not sure but I think in view of the Christchurch disaster some hotels may think a high flloor is now a downgrade Anyway it was an abrupt reply without thought. The room was modern and clean and represented excellent value for a city centre hotel in a good location to access the sights by foot. We returned the hire car as soon as we arrived in the city as it was easy to use foot, ferries and the local train to get around. We would stay here again, might even get that smile!

Location close to city, although in a quiet one way street surrounded by car parks - a bit too quiet when coming back in the dark at night. Also close to Sky City casino and very convenient for bus stops 1 minute walk away - useful as it is a hilly area. About 5 mins walk to harbour area, downhill. Superior room was large, and exceptionally quiet - only grumble was some rubbish left on the floor in the wardrobe. Glimpses of the harbour from the window on level 7. Very helpful desk staff. Would stay again.

Spent one night here which was delightful. Clean, airy and in a great location. Easy walking distance to most spots central Auckland.
We really enjoyed our stay at Rydges, the room was excellent, the staff welcoming and pleasant. We had a meal in the Restaurant the steak melted in your mouth(highly recommend eating there) The only negative comment was that our room had not been serviced for our 2nd night and I went looking for the staff to give me Tea,sugar etc. Otherwise we shall be staying again in the future. We always book skycity when we stay in Auckland but I think if we can get into Rydges next time then the Rydges it will be.
All in all a good quality hotel but the parking charge of $28 per night and the noise of the outside air conditioning fan units took the edge off an otherwise enjoyable stay
Excellent location to walk to harbour, although unless you have the penthouse the name is a little misleading! Reception soul-less but staff helpful. Breakfast buffet good at $11 if you are hungry! Would definitely stay here again.
