Very good priced hotel only a short drive from city centre. Rooms very good size, quiet and bed very comfortable. First time in Hobart and will use this hotel again. Staff could be better advised about internet rates to improve the service.
often stay at this hotel when requiring accommodation in Hobart, good location, quiet, and good value for money
Great location, room layout, friendly staff and, as always, excellent (website) price. However, decor is v.mid-80's and minor maintenance needs. No digital TV or microwave for infant food.
Very good value. Rooms are a bit daggy, but quite spacious. We checked in late, and received friendly helpful service.
I was surprised by the size of the room and its facilities. The cupboard doors don't close fully; a few minor maintenance jobs like that would useful if not essential. Bed was comfortable and plenty of bedding for the cold Hobart night. Heater took a while to warm up but was adequate. Breakfast was included in my deal and was very good but $18 for a continental breakfast seems expensive and I wouldn't have paid that much for it but have gone to a cafe.
it had plenty of room and in a great location the staff was friendly and very helpful
This hotel was a good experience because it offered flexibility for triple acomodation which was difficult to find in Hobart without adults sharing beds. Beds were very comfortable and location met our needs, although if you were looking to walk to the town centre or wharf area this was a bit of a trek. Rooms were serviced well during our stay, but attention to detail in cleaning could have been better. For example the power points and fridge were a bit dirty and one lamp was not working.
WE had a lovely time in Hobart and Rydges was very central to all that we did, included the all schools athletics nationals. The staff were very helpful at Rydges and we will recommend it to other friends going to stay in Hobart.
NEEDS AIR CONDIONERS IN THE ROOMS WE WERE IN ROOM 26 AND IT WAS GREAT ALTHOUGH VERY HOT SO WE DID'T GET MUCH SLEEP
This hotel has the best beds in the world and I've sampled many!!! Staff are polite and welcoming.
Spa was out of operation (thankfully, as it wasn't appealing). Room was overheated. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.
Shame we only had one night. Will stay again. Very comfy bed
everything was pretty standard, nice and normal. rooms were nice and spacious. no lifts, so not good for those who can't carry luggage up flights of stairs ie elderly or people with back, knee, hip problems etc.. biggest issue was when we requested clean sheets, we returned about 11pm after being out all day sightseeing to find sheets folded on our bed and had to make the bed ourselves!!! this was a first and not very impressive at all!!!
Pleasant, spacious room with limited, but adequate kitchen facilities.
Very old looking, but close to everything. I wrongfully thought that it would be of the same standard of other Rydges hotels I have stayed at - I would not stay here again.
Very happy with our stay, staff were always there to help.
No Lifts walking several flights of stairs with suitcases an effort. No airconditioning in our room, also room needed some repairs.
Buffet breakfast, eggs, bacon etc was kept heated by a couple of small flames, so by the time it was placed on a cold plate and taken to the table it was only luke warm. If you have a breakfast voucher and wait to be seated as the sign indicates, you could be waiting a long time. Apart from this, the room and service was delightful.
