"Good hotel for the price we paid.
Walking distance to the centre of town and plenty of restaurants on either side of the street, view from 1st floor of marina and other hotels, quiet at night so you can sleep well.
Breakfast was well presented and enjoyable.

"We found Rydges Townsville, the room was average not a "Superior Room", ppeling paint in the en suite, street noise 24 hours a day, actually the day time was quieter and the air conditioner cold with instructions not to turn it off meant we went for a tropical break and had to wear a jumper in the room. Not impressed. Could have got a room at [other hotel] with breakfast for less that our "superior room"...not happy Jan." - Beryl Smith

We are located 7 km South East of the Townsville Airport. A short drive of about ten minutes, or approximately $15 by taxi. 750 metres from the coach transit centre - a 15 minute walk or approximately $6 by taxi. Townsville Train Station approximately 1.5 km from the hotel - Taxi approx $8 or a five minute drive. Located on the Southside of the CBD in Palmer Street via the Denham Street Bridge. |
