"Not center city but within walking distance. Restaurant was excellent." - Anonymous
"Beautifully decorated throughout. Good food. Very friendly and well trained staff. Easy walking distance to the centre of Seville. The area is obviously going through a period of major renovation and appears to be one of the up and coming areas of Seville. Generally just a lovely place to stay. If arriving by car there is a one way system for traffic in the square. There is a pull in beside the pedestrian plaza just before you get to the front door of the hotel (which is easily missed). However you can stop at the other end of the plaza to unload if you do miss it. Parking for a car is approx £14/day in the equivalent of an NCP." - Gillian Stone

This former XVIII century sacristy has now been turned into a three-star hotel. It is located in the heart of the historical centre of Seville, in La Plaza de La Alameda. Excellent Our hotel has been scrupulously renovated, offering you exquisite restoration work that has given rise to meticulous decoration where classical styles combine until they melt in with original touches made by our decoration experts. It also offers the most advanced Internet connection technologies.
Developed in 1574, La Plaza de La Alameda de Hercules is the largest avenue in the city of Seville. Near the Guadalquivir river on one side, it borders the famous Macarena neighbourhood on the other. It is also very near the city’s shopping centre.
The square was developed in 1574, when the count of Barajas populated that marshy area with leafy trees and three fountains.
Later, in 1578, he decorated one end with enormous columns fro m an old Roman temple and placed a statue on top of each one; on the one hand Julius Caesar (restorer of Hispalis) and Hercules, the founder of the city. In the second half of the 18th century, other columns were placed at the other end, finished off with lions and shields representing Spain and Seville. |
