30 Le Loi - Hue - Vietnam
Built in 1901 by the French businessman, Mr. Morin, Saigon Morin has been closely related to historical events of the city. This architecture of colonial style lived up to its former reputation as the choice of celebrities, intrepid adventurers and discriminating businessmen. It offered everything discerning travellers would expect from a world class hotel. The big renovation in 1998 restored the hotel to its former glory without sacrificing the old world charm and Vietnamese traditional hospitality that has made the Saigon-Morin Hotel legendary. At present, the hotel possesses the finest location in town, within walking distance to tourist attractions, where guests can enjoy the view of the romantic Perfume River and the historic Trang Tien bridge. This deluxe hotel boasts 183 airy and well-equipped rooms and Suites. The system of restaurants indoors, outdoors and on the top floor serves the best selection of food and drinks. nice hotel. internet was hard to use because so many younger guests were playing games and chatting on the computers. that is my only knock on this hotel.
Enormous room with balcony and view over the Perfume River and all the bicycles and motorbike traffic accessing the bridge. Beautiful historic building and lovely courtyard garden for breakfast buffet. The nightly story presented on a scroll kept us intrigued.
Great location. Very spacious and comfortable rooms. Cocktail bar was a time warp...really old fashioned and unappealing. The courtyard cafe was a good spot for light lunches although the service was a bit slow.
A lovely hotel, excellent spacious rooms, friendly helpful staff. Excellent value for the price.
The hotel is very grand and has a prime location right on the river. It's 4 stars and a similar hotel in the UK would probably cost 3 or 4 times the price. It's an old colonial building dating from 1900 and has been faithfully restored. We were upgraded to a deluxe room. It was huge and had a balcony and views across the bridge and river. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel if it suits your budget.
The Saigon Morin offers an awesome "early 1900s" glimpse of Vietnam, with excellent service and facilities.
Our stay at the Saigon Morin Hotel Hue was wonderful! The hotel is conveniently located to the top tourist spots which we walked to. We enjoyed a lovely outdoor dinner at the hotel which included pleasing local entertainment. The hotel was charming, the rooms large, and the staff was extremely helpful in every way. We can only say terrific things about the Morin and would recommend it to anyone!
The hotel was totally focused on a New Years Eve function and as a result we were given extremly unsatisfactory service. We were told that the restaraunt and the bar would not be open that night due to the fuction and no appology was offered or alternative suggestion made. We received non existant service at breakfast the next morning and the staff at reception were little better than rude. The whole experience was not worth the money. I will not go back and would not recommend the hotel.
An absolutely superb hotel. Very attractive building, great rooms, service and food.
