Because, even though the hotel was nice, the amenities were good (especially the spa), the rooms kind of sucked! The bed was hard, the pillows were lumpy, even after asking for new ones... the TV was a little 15inch tube TV... and the walls between rooms were too thin... Our obnoxious neighbors kept waking us up at two in the morning on several occasions :( Other then the room, things were great! Breakfast was a massive buffet with a wide variety of items to eat. Room service was prompt, and the staff was always friendly. And...!!! Don't forget the spa! It's usually included with your room, so feel free to use it! And they also offer massages. My wife and I got two while we were there... They were truly wonderful!!!

good hotel been visiting for years could do with a face lift, great spot, if you dont have car, to visit bars etc short walk to the port..

I was surprised there was no dinning facilities in the hotel in the evenings over the Xmas

There was small cockroach in the bathroom. The breakfast is very good.

badly in need of refurbishment - rooms VERY tired, old fashioned and dreary. Breakfast boring and same old, same old, rubbish.

The hotel is in a built-up area with views of apartment blocks. 5 minutes walk to the marina. Our room was large and comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Unfortunately, smoking is allowed in some bedrooms and in public areas. On opening our bedroom door we were greeted each morning with the unpleasant lingering smell of stale cigarette smoke.

The hotel would benefit from some refurbishment / modernisation - the decor and furnishings are somewhat outdated. In fact the decor has not really changed since last staying there some 5 years ago. However, comfortable enough for a short stay.

Very good breakfast, a lot of varities

I took my 4 year old son, the hotel staff were friendly and helpful and we had everything you could need for a long weekend away.

Booked late through Hotel Club at a great price - in fact I couldnt find availabilty at any price with anyone else (even on the hotels own web site). We were allocated what must have been the best room in the hotel - on the 6th floor (top) with 2 bedrooms (a twin and a double) both with their own balcolnies. I had taken my girlfriend (who had stayed here with her girfriends last year) so we had more room than we could have wished for. Great views from both balcolnies. We found the service and the food to be excellent (although we tended to eat out in the evenings - mainly down at the marina which was only a few euro taxi ride away. Would recommend.

Very pleasant hotel, clean, staff very friendly, helpful and professional, good location (not in the middle of it all but still near all amenities and easy links to Palma which is a 10 minute drive away). Rooms good size and clean, very good selection for buffet breakfast. Would stay there again, pleasant experience. Only downsides: Walls possibly a bit thin as we unfortunately had to endure the 'loud' couple next door! Also maybe a little dated but nothing extreme.

Rooms clean and staff helpful, Good hot breakfast buffet. Whilst the hotel is not shabby, it could do with updating the decor and furnishings within the lobby and surrounding areas, especially the bar. Good location, only 5-10 min walk into the lovely marina and beach (downhill) with many good restraunts and bars. Good size swimming pool, indoor pool and childrens pool and play area. Would definately stay there again.

A good price deal for a reasonable hotel in a convenient location. Fine for a stopover hotel, I would not choose to stay here for a holiday though. It offers all the basics, but the noise insulation between rooms is very poor and the staff although friendly were equally culpable for making excessive noise talking loudly to each other in the corridors incessantly when cleaning. ps I really can't remember receiving a [your website] "Thank you" card

It was a very enjoyable experience at this hotel. The bed was slightly uncomfortable but apart from that-everything was superb!

The hotel position is only 5 mins walk from an exclusive and trendy port with lots of bars and restaurants - some can be a bit pricey. There are quite a few restaurants across the road from the hotel - Pedro's offers excellent VFM. We were bed and breakfast and the breakfasts were excellent - except the odd issue with the Orange Juice machine. The hotel rooms were adequate if not a bit on the small side - not much room at the bottom of the king size bed.

The service and Cleanliness were excellent. I must also point out I found it cheaper to book through [your website] then direct on the hotels website, a substancial saving. I will be using [your website] for future bookings as a frequent traveller.

Had a lovely holiday and the hotel was ok with a couple of gripes, We had a family room and although they are of a reasonable size unfortunately they are next to the lift shaft and stairwell so noise early in the morning was pretty bad. Pool areas is also a bit tired with quite a few bits of the mozaic falling off and finally having to pay €20 deposit per towel is a bit expensive if you need 4 although you do get all your money back.

Restaurant and food excellent. Room and public areas cleanliness excellent. would stay at hotel again excellent service and value for money

Having stayed at the Marina Portals earlier in the year it was equally as good if not better this time as we were fortunate to have a beautiful bedroom with a double balcony. The Hotel itself is more than adequate especilly the breakfasts which were outstanding.
