San Gallo Hotel Venice

Cute little hotel, really close to piazza s marco. You can't expect the same comfort in Europe that you could expect when paying the same in the US, but compared to the other hotels booked during our trip to italy, this one was ok! If you have to catch an early train, you might want to consider staying closer to the train station...otherwise, staff was great! We had to check out before breakfast time, and they kindly prepared a breakfast box for us.

We stayed here for 4 nights. Location was great, just of St Marks Square. Our room was very tiny and the walls were very thin, we had to ask to be moved as we could clearly hear the people talking at the top of their voices in the next room. Internet is very expensive. Breakfast was ok, nothing too exiting.

This is a great little hotel. The rooms are small but well-furnished. The location and price are unbeatable. The service very friendly and helpful. But people who don't want to climb 30 steps or so from street level to reception (and more to some rooms)be warned there's no lift. So you might not enjoy the hotel as much.

the price was very resonable and in an excellent location right near san marcs square and the san marco water taxi stop. the room was very beautiful, with traditional decorations. the breakfast was excellent, so much yummy food and drink, they even make you your choice of coffee. the staff were very healpful with directions and reccomendations. the bathroom was good, very clean and with good facilities.

This is definitely not a hotel for handicapped people or those with large suitcases. There is no lift access, there is a long staircase before the entrance, and the rooms are very small.

We had confusion with our booking which [your website] had failed to make. The hotel had a room luckily and honoured our "reservation". My husband who speaks Italian managed to sort out over the phone the next day.There was also confusion about the price which was considerably lower than the rate stated but the hotel also honoured this. Room was newly renovated in Venetian style 2 minute walk from San Marco. Breakfast was adequate.

Good location, room and bathroom both are small but good enough to stay comfortably.

This hotel is a little bit trick to find, but once found it was well worth the money we paid as it is 3 minutes walk from the center of St Marks square. The staff were really polite and the breakfast was basic but filling. The hotel was really clean and tidy and the room was very nice. A great hotel for tourists on who want a central location.

Just an average hotel, but its in a perfect position right next to San Marco Square so that makes it worthwhile.

We enjoyed our stay very much. In the centre of town, good room, quiet and clean, nice people, good breakfast etc.

Simple, charming, compact, characterful, quiet, in a great location.

The Hotel is only two minutes away from San Marco Square. Best directions are actually to start off from the square and then find your way. I travelled on my own and had a perfect single room with ensuite for a bargain price. The breakfast is fantastic with its variety and volume. The receptionist was very friendly and pointed me to the arsenale and the Via Garibaldi where the Venetians live. You also find a very cheap supermarket for your pressies to bring back home. I had 3 nice days with 10 cm snow in the beginning of March

The location was amazing. only a few steps away from getting off the water bus and 2 minutes away from Saint Mark's square. Breakfast was on a lovely terrace each morning and staff were really friendly and even threw in a free trip to a glass works factory on one of the islands. Highly reccommend it.

Outside the hotel it doesnt look very pleasant, however inside is another story, stay here is comfortable and staff are excellent, always ready to help

This hotel was very centrally placed, close to St Marco Square. The very helpful and friendly staff made it a very pleasant stay. Being able to come back tired and being able to buy a cup of coffee or tea from the service desk at a reasonable price was a bonus. The breakfast is quite substantial. I would fully recommend this hotel.
