San Want Hotel Taipei

Hotel is a little old and breakfast spread is not fantastic. But excellent location at the heart of shopping and restaurants. Staff are friendly and extremely helpful. Enjoyed our stay!

Very good location. Just right outside train station. Convenient to get to various part of town. Good spread of breakfast. Help, polite and friendly staff.

The hotel is excellently located adjacent to the MRT which provides easy transport to most touristic interests. The place is clean, service first rate and the breakfast while not spectacular is good. When the room was too cold, a heater was provided. Certainly for the price and location you can't beat this hotel.

a nice inexpensive hotel centre of Taipei. Well-positioned for the MRT, but not directly on the airport limousine bus route, which means a 10 min walk to the bus stop at Sogo.

Its location is really good. It is near the Metro station and shopping areas with many small lanes behind that sell Taiwanese snacks. It has 24 hour archade games too. We only have the problem with the breakfast staff. They kept on disturbing us with our breakfast meal with different charging bill for the kids. First day it was mentioned more than 110cm need to pay. Then the second say it lowered to 90cm child need to pay. They seems to be eager to earn the children money and trying their luck to lower the height limit. But most annoying is that they keep coming to us until my another friend lost appetite and skip the breakfast. The room cleanliness however is great. Anyway, the manager has already promised to change their SOP. So it is still worth staying there.

Great location for shopping, eating and subway. But room is small and can be noisy at times.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to look after us. The room was a good size for a short stay. The location was in the middle of a large shopping area with the MRT near the front of the hotel. We arrived early and were able to get the room well before normal check in time. Could not ask for better service. The restaurants were good and reasonably priced. It was raining and free umbrellas were available outside the entrance.

Very close to Subway, surrounding has all you need, its breakfast was very good too. Even hotel has been old, but was keep pretty clean and roomy, it worth the price of $ 135 for two per nihgt with Breakfast.

good hotel in great location

The location of the hotel is very good as it is close to shopping mall and train station. However, the rooms are abit run down which should be due for upgrading based on the price that the hotel is charging.

The location was fantastic. The underground metro was right outside the lobby. Lots of restaurants and shopping around as well. The breakfast buffet was ok and convenient. The staff were very nice and helpful. The late checkout was much appreciated as well.

The hotel is centrally located in one of the main shopping areas and is next to the MRT station. The staff were helpful. I would stay there again.

The room we stayed is facing the main road. It's very noisy throughout the night.

The location is really good and the staffs there are really friendly and helpful. But the room is a bit small for the price I paid, probably because its peak period. Overall, I had a pleasant stay in San Want Hotel, will go back there again.

A friendly hotel with clean rooms without specials, except a handy free internet connection. Nice restaurant and especially the semi-buffet lunch downstairs should be mentioned. What I didn't like was that staff where cleaning and rubbing the floor behind the bar at 9 in the evening. If they don't have time to do that during the day they better close the bar...
