Sandpiper is Apollo Bay's newest motel offering contemporary, simple but stylish accommodation. Located only 150 metres off Apollo Bay’s picturesque main beach it is an easy 400 metre walk to the shopping and restaurant strip. Apollo Bay is the logical centre point along the Great Ocean Road & Shipwreck Coast for assorted day trips to various attractions including historical sites and national parks. We offer refined, hospitable & friendly service. Comprising of 1 two bedroom Family Apartment, 1 twin and 17 double rooms all accommodation has Austar TV, tea, coffee & toaster facility with a 115 litre mini refrigerator. Queen beds, reverse cycle air-conditioning and ensuites with shower only are also a standard feature. We have one deluxe Spa unit. Broadband internet is available free to guests from our bright, airy and large reception.

Getting there:Apollo Bay is situated on the Famous Great Ocean Road, approximately 3 hours south west of Melbourne. Entry to Apollo Bay's main centre is via The Great ocean Road. From the North or Melbourne end Murray Street is the 2nd street on the right after the first 50km speed sign. From the south or Warrnambool Murray street is the first street on the left after the Mobile service station (the only service station in Apollo Bay) 300 metres from the Information Centre.

Loves this place. It is very clean. Ken (I think) was very nice. I will definitely book again if i come to this part of Australia.
For what we wanted it was perfect, not too close to the City Centre, about 4 blocks away, and not too far. Good showers and comfortable beds.
A great motel situated a short walk from the shops and restaurant with very friendly owners. Would stay there again.
We stayed in a family apartment. It was very comfortable and well equipped. It would be good to have heating in the bedrooms for those cold evenings but overall it was a very nice place to stay.

Great place to stay.
Very clean (and new) and only walking distance to the beach and main shopping strip. It's off the main road (the great ocean road) so it's also quiet. Facilities are good and you don't need to go past reception each time you enter or leave. The room we stayed in had an enclosed hallway before our door, so you feel reasonably secure. Highly recommended and good value for money.
Overall it was a nice stay. The rooms were VERY small. The bathroom floors were on a slope so the whole floor was one big puddle after taking a shower.
Nice new motel. Enjoyed privacy of balcony Access from the carpark to motel rooms excellent, meant not having too carry luggage too far especially if the weather is windy or wet.
