Sandringham Hotel Cardiff

I would recommend it to a friend. It was more than expected when I saw my room. Good room size, good service and very helpful and friendly staffs. Could hear movement when people walking and talking on the stairs, corridor and from the next room snoring! Poor floor and wall noise insulation. Otherwise it was a nice hotel to stay. No regrets.

Despite Hotelclub's failure to tender my advance reservation to the hotel, they were very helpful in assisting me and managed to get me a room at the annex. Friendly staff, clean and spacious room. Location is great, just a mere 5 minutes walk to Cardiff Castle. Highly recommended for business or leisure stay.

Great Location , Good Value For Money For a location so central. Hotel is a little dated & the rooms could do with a freshen up , but nothing too dramatic. Breakfast choice was very good each morning. If you are staying at weekend, be aware that Cardiff has a very lively night scene & also the Hotel may have its own functions on that can go into the early hours , so don't expect to get to sleep too early - unless loud disco music sends you to the land of Zzzzzs !! .... again it didn't affect me as I was one of the partygoers anyway ! :-)

A basic but perfectly adequate and clean hotel. Location was fantastic.

Basic accommodation but good for price.Breakfast was very good. Pity no lift as we had to go up a lot of stairs. Would use again

the bed was uncomfortball to sleep on. i woke up with bad back and headache. everything was wonderful but the bed.

The staff, especially Alison, could not have been more helpful. Extremely helpful and attentive. The location was excellent. The decor is a littel dated but everything was very clean and both the bedroom and bathroom were a generous size. No lifts in this hotel but that caused no great problems. The breakfast was super and the staff eager to please and in no rush to stop serving extra coffee and toast. The only down side was a couple staying at the hotel - unfortunately in the room next door - who argued for hours until gone 3am. This obviously had nothing to do with the staff and indeed the night porter did his best to calm the situation. For this price you can't go wrong as the hotel is ideally suited to all shops and restaurants in the city centre. We would definately stay at the hotel again.

For a cheap and cheerful bed in central Cardiff this hotel would be hard to beat. OK the room was pretty small, but it was clean enough and everything that should work did so. I would certainly stay again.

I would definitely use this hotel again. The rooms were basic but the great town centre location and extremely friendly staff more than made up for this. A great welsh breakfast was provided.

A bit hard to find and no lift. We had to cart our luggage up to reception on the 1st floor and then to the room with no help. There is a jaz bar down stairs & free for guests, that was very good and fun. Breakfast was quite good.

Excellent Customer Service.

A friendly and helpful team run this centrally located hotel. The breakfast is great. Not the plushest of hotels, but the price reflects this. As a business traveller I would recommend it for its location, service and breakfast. If you are looking for luxury - fork out the extra.

Plain and simple excellent value. Good Breakfast. Great Location. Nice staff. Entry to the Jazz cafe downstairs which is fun. I shall go there again.

Great location over it's own Jazz Club. Has good facilities but deco and rooms are best described as tired.

Very well located. Very friendly service, good breakfast and nice, tidy, modern decorated rooms. Have stayed several times and will continue to do so.
