Sanouva Hotel Ho Chi Minh City

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left Hotel Sanouva was amazing! Not too far from the airport (170 Dong) and very close to the main attractions within HCMC! We could not have chosen a better hotel to stay at. Our room was extremely clean and I felt like I was at home, not in a hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to HCMC! very affordable prices, great customer service, breakfast, helpful staff, english speaking, and VERY clean and BEAUTIFUL!

The hotel is very near the famous cho ben than market where you can buy lots of locally manufactured hand crafted and souvenir goods at a very reasonable price if you are great in your bargaining skills. However, if you opted the French Colonial feelings, the hotel is situated 10 minutes away by foot which is already okay for us but be minded of the hot and humid weather in Vietnam as well as the sudden precipitations in the afternoon. Cozy and clean! the hotel stood to its ranking as a 3 star hotel

Sanouva is located near to the famous ben thanh market, near to city centre, can reach by taxi in 5 to 10 minute. or you can walk there too. have lots of shop and restaurant around...fast check in and check out, very friendly staff but the only thing is they dont check when u request for room card so i choose to keep my room card with me...i will stay there again

Sanouva is a perfectly good hotel at reasonable price located very close to Behn Thanh market. Although only 1 night, I enjoyed the stay very much.

We booked deluxe double and twin rooms for 4 nights and they were great. The Sanouva is a small boutique hotel which is what we were after. Location was central and just around the corner is Ben Thahn Market and a short 5-10min stroll to Dong Khoi, the main strip (which is a bit more upmarket). The rooms were clean. Beds were comfortable. It is a non-smoking hotel but found that other 'patrons' of the hotel completely disregarded the no smoking policy. The service requires mentioning - the staff were extremely friendly and helpful (which is what you want when you are on holidays), polite and spoke good English. Breakfast was good too although because the hotel is small, the breakfast room is small too and it got a bit packed out at times. There is free internet and WIFI. I've been advised that the owners have decided to build another Sanouva by 2012 (which will be bigger and of course brand new).

It is a new hotel, very clean. Location is great. Rooms are small, but everything is modern and convinient. Our room was very quiet. Breakfast service might have been better, but it was not a big deal for us.

A nice small hotel which is very clean. The staff are knowledgable, helpful and very friendly. The rooms are quiet given the amount of street noise in Ho Chi Minh. The location is good - within walking distance of most major attractions and restaurants. Good value for money.

rooms are nice and new,excellent air con,close to everyting.although no kettle or coffee facilities in room which is annoying especially to heat up baby food.we also got very sick 2nd day we were there 4 hours after breakfast which was concerning

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The location of the hotel was excellent, as was the service. We had a night away in the Mekong Delta and there was no problem with storing our luggage. Overall a very good hotel with adequate breakfast. Would certainly recommend.

Stayed at the Sanouva Deluxe room for 2 nights recently. We are very impressed with the cleanliness of the room, very good hotel for the price we paid. The location is central as well, close to the Market and lots of shops around the vicinity.

Great 2 nights in this fantastic hotel. Just over 12 mths old and very clean and functional. The best Hotel shower in our 5 weeks on tour. The location was fantastic. Maybe 300m from the Ben Thang Market, and VERY helpful staff. We couldnt fault the friendly staff, or facilities and next time in Ho Chi Minh we WILL be returning.

Sanouva Hotel is well located near to the famous bargain market, Benh Thanh market, 15-20 min walking distant to other famous mall and Dong Khoi street, you can also take a taxi cost only 15k-25k VND, the hotel room I'm in Room 503 is small with 2 small window but enough space to move around, builded with thin wall, so you can still hear people talking when their walk pass or even when their alarm goes on but it's not that bad.It's very clean and the service are very good, the reception is good and helpful and the bell boy and guard are even better, their friendly and helpful, we had a pleasent stay and will definately recommend Sanouva for your stay in HochiMinh

Staff is polite and helpful. Hotel has great location - walking distance from the Ben Thanh Market, very convenient. Room is good too. Overall good value for money and will recommend the hotel to others who want a comfortable stay at a relatively low price.

Sanouva hotel is value for money. New and fresh.The staff are english speaking, nice and helpful. Housekeeping service can improve. They forget to replace small items in the room like cups and saucers and handtowels which they remove during the cleaning and this cause unnecessary problem during check out

We had 3.5 Nights stayed in Sanouva Hotel room 202 Deluxe (Window), very contented with the room, cable tv and wi-fi service. Should improve on their breakfast service and food quality(replenish only when asked). Hotel staff always so friendly and nice. it only take about 7-10min to Ben Than Market, it's jus right at the back of the hotel. Nearby coffee house, rsnt, mini-mart are all ard. Taxi from Airport to Hotel will only cost u approx 840000VD. Don't get conned if they are quoting for 1500000VD or USD8. Tell them to charge by meter.

I stayed at the Deluxe City View Double room. The room was good, clean and nice although there's nothing much of a city view for me. The hotel location is good as well. It's just a street away from Benh Tanh market. Hotel staffs are very, very helpful, friendly and accomodating. I cant tell you much about breakfast cos I didn't wake up for it but the space seems small so I can imagine if there are a lot of guests staying. A point I have to state though. I've seen the deluxe room and the Sanouva deluxe room and I have to say that there's not much difference between these 3 rooms. If you just want a nice room to stay, deluxe room should be fine. But if you don't mind splurging, you can take the bigger rooms. Overall, I will definitely stay here again.. :)

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Staff were excellent. My only other comment would be with respect to the new law recently introduced in Vietnam regarding smoking in public places. I find other guests smoking at adjacent breakfast tables and in the lift to be very strange (and obnoxious). It seems that Sanouva are not alone in their adjustment to the new laws, as other organisations still seem to be adapting as well. Updating this policy would further enhance the hotel's credibility in my opinion.
