The oldest hotel in Barcelona (1840), completely renovated is located in the historical building of the former Convent of Saint Augustine (1720). Quiet location at a square in the city centre, 50 metres from the Ramblas, next to the Liceu Opera House and the Boqueria Market. Only 50 meters from the Ramblas. Easy access to trade shows. Nearby busstop and metro station (Liceu). The Aerobus leaves every 10-15 minutes and stops at Placa de Catalunya in the city centre. The ride takes about 30 minutes. From there you can catch the metro from metro station Catalunya to Liceu or take a taxi. The Price for a one-way ticket is € 3.45 and € 5.90 for a return ticket. There's a RENFE train (line ) every 30 minutes to Plaça de Catalunya in the city centre from about 6:13 to 23:40. Follow the illustrated signs to the airport train station. Fare is about € 2.40 and travel time is about 25 minutes. The trains are air conditioned and have plenty of luggage space. From Plaça de Catalunya you can catch the metro from metro station Catalunya to Liceu using the same ticket or take a taxi. Taxis are available at the airport 24 hours, fare is about € 23. Travel time is about 25 minutes. Atesa, Avis, Europcar, and Hertz car rentals are avilable at the airport. The airport travel information desk is open from 9:30 A.M. to 8 P.M. Note: Taking the train into the city and then a taxi to your hotel should cost about half the price of a taxi from the airport.

Getting there:By Air: El Prat Airport is located six miles (10 km) south of Barcelona and is connected to the city centre by various means: By Train: The main railway station is Estació de Sants. From there you can catch the metro from metro station Sants-Estació to Liceu or take a taxi. By car: Drive on Ronda Litoral until you arrive to the exit Port Vell, from where you can get to the Ramblas and to Plaça de Catalunya in the city center.

I liked this hotel very much.The rooms were nice, clean and certainly large enough. The location was excellent and the free breakfast from 7:30 am - 11:00 am was very good. I stayed here for 7 nights and was very pleased. The staff was very helpful in many respects and I would certainly stay here again.

The location is wonderful. Nice square near the Rambla. Basic hotel. No street noise, however a lot of internal noise. When people are walking in the corridor it sounds as if they are passing your bed directly. Doors, floors, bathroom, you will hear everything unfortunately. Nice breakfast facilities.

A lnice hotel right in the heart of the city. Was a bit different from the photos online but still ok. From the moment we arrived the staff were very polite and helpful. My husband and really enjoyed our time here.
This hotel is ideally placed for a visit to Barcelona. It is just off La Rambla but very quiet at night. It was our third stay at this hotel.
Great location just off Las Ramblas. And right at the metro stop which is very convenient. Hotel is nice - free use of internet on computer in the lobby
Very OK hotel with a perfect location 2 min from Ramblas, but far less noisy compared to a hotel directly om Ramblas. Two nice spots close to the hotel entrance for å drink or a light meal.
We were very happy with this hotel. The breakfast was great. The rooms were large enough. The area is a little rough, but not unusual for a large city.
This is a perfectly satisfactory hotel. It is only steps away from La Rambla. The breakfasts are plentiful and come with the price of the room. The square outside can be very noisy but the windows are double-sealed. The area is "edgy" but we had no problems with the buskers, drunks, and seedy ones. The internet access is quite bad but the management promises a speedier and more reliable machine. We were satisfied with all we found, but this is NOT a luxurious hotel. Yes, we would return.

Enjoyed our stay and found the Hotel well organised and situated. Service was good and we would stay there again. Food was as good as expected.
Very centric. Only one PC in the Internet Corner with non updating software.
Connection to Internet via WiFi was possible only in the hotel lobby- am ajor problem for anybody wishing to access internet from their room. Breakfast buffet was minimal and dull.
