This was my second stay in this hotel, however, this time I stayed in their new facility (Residence Parisien) 100 meters from the Hotel just next to the waterbus station. Very nice and big room, however, facing the car parking at Piazza le Roma. The breakfast was at the hotel was OK, but we were not allowed for extending the check-out by... half an hour.
great location easy access to transport highly recommended very clean and a good breakfast included
All the rooms are decorated following the rules of the Venetian style and tradition: wall fabrics, fitted carpets, Venetian-style flooring, parquet, uncovered beams, Murano glass chandeliers…all the particulars and complements which give a diverse personality to all the rooms.

Standard rooms can be either in the main building or in the Annex.
We arrived in to Venice very late on Friday night & were given a double room rather than a twin as booked. There was no issue from the staff & we were immediately moved to the annex of the hotel a 5 min walk away and got a much better & bigger room with a bigger bathroom. We found the staff very helpful @ all times & our room was cleaned every day & we got fresh towels every day. The location was super and we were very happy with our stay in Venice.
Good place to stay and easy to get to from the airport. Very close to transport and docks. Good breakfast.
Looks bad from the outside but the rooms were clean. It was a good location near the bus station and the train station. Breakfast was good and plenty of it. The dayshift employees were very helpful but nightshift needed to smile. A bit on the high side cost wise. Had a great time in Venice.
Location brilliant for the train and bus stations - some decor could do with being updated but overall a great hotel
santa chiara hotel is located close to the cental bus station and beside the the water bus stop on the Grand Canal. We found it very convenient. We were accomodated in the hotel annex approx 100m from thje main hotel right on the waterfront. The bathroom and sleeping acc were just great and were cleaned daily. The Breakfast provided was substancial with a wide variety and no limit on consumtion, handy before a hard days sightseeing. Main desk staff were helpful and friendly. The convenience of the location cannot be overstated.
very pleasant and helpful staff, wonderful location. if i had any complaint it would be that the a/c did not work. the staff attempted to repair it, but to no avail. i guess if we had continued to complain, they would have moved us, but luckily it was a cool evening. i definitely would have pressed the issue if it had been a hot summer evening. we had just disembarked a cruise ship and was spending the final night in venice, we were a family of four adults in a quad room. it was very clean and more than adequate in size and comfort.
Very good location on the grand canal, good parking, Boat ferry stops out side.
Nice hotel but the room was very small. The only hotel in venice with a local parking.
Excellent location, particularly if you have more than hand luggage. Very helpful and courteous staff.
Excellent position. Great staff who spoke English well
It was a beautiful hotel; my room was a bit dark, but it wasn't a real problem, but I'd have preferred one of the other rooms which has more windows as I am a bit claustrophobic and also like to read but didn't feel like it with there being no central light. The brochure talked about chandeliers but there wasn't one in my room. I liked the traditional Venetian feel of the hotel. Staff were very polite and discreet.
Very convenient for a one night stay after a cruise. Comfortable twin room included small shower in corner, breakfast good. Would recommend to anyone arriving / departing by bus, especailly if elderly as there are no bridges to cross!
Family 2 adults, two chidren (8 & 7) - room just big enough for double bed & single with pull-out bed from underneath, could just get between beds, but we only needed to sllep in room. Bathroom two doors away but decently sized. Fabulous outlook over Grand Canal & shutters were used to keep out light & some noise from main Vaparetto stop @ P.Roma - A/C was available & would probably be needed in summer heat as noise, with windows open, would be too much for many. Breakfast comprehensive continental - nice fresh rolls! The most convenient hotel in Venice for arrivals by bus. We'd happily stay there again.
I think the hotel could use some basic facility maintenance. I happen to have stayed at this same hotel six (6) years ago and was assigned the same room. The room was identical to 6 years ago, but a little more 'used'. The shower door fell from the track, and the paint was chipped badly in the shower frame, giving it an untidy appearance. The location in great, and the facilities are adequate, especially for a couple of nights stay.
Fantastically located but strictly for easy access of transport and arrival, if u want to have typical Venice locality stay then this is not the right place. This place is opposite on right side to stazione railway, if u are coming by bus/ vehicle then u need not to walk 100 meters, its just on bank of bus station (hahaha everything in Venice are on bank / fondamentallies). One of the main boat ferry station is in front of this hotel. Don’t be fooled by map which shows bridge across Grand Canal near this hotel which is probably under construction since long. Breakfast is fine. For me best way to travel Venice is to take 24h ferrovia ticket and stroll around each station. Best dinner locations are along St marco and St zacaria sea face.
Superb location for access, but not as romantic as the downtown. Note that the larger rooms (3+ persons) are not in the main hotel but in a separate modern 'residence' a few hundred meters away.
After checking in, I was a little taken aback to be led out of the front door and down the road to an Annex, but the location of the Annex was excellent. The rooms were large, clean and nicely furnished and the bathroom was huge with big fluffy towels, as well as being suitable for handicapped people. the coffee was delicious. Good value for money. I can recommend it.
Would stay again.
