Sapphire Resort Brisbane Guest Reviews

3 out of 5

I stay here regularly due to the great position and ease to transport - and occassionally the discounted price. This time I find it necessary to write a review: 1. This is not a hotel for those with disabilities as it has NO LIFTS. 2. My room, whilst 'clean', I found the bathroom to be far from clean and hygenic. There were public hairs in the bath and the vanity basin. There was a dribble stain on the tiles on the back of the vanity - looked like someone has spat on the tiles. The sink water in the sink hung on the sides of the vanity - the vanity was covered with body grease from previous customers. The room directory is very out of date, advertising an on-the-premises restaurant that is no longer there. The staff are very friendly and the coffee shop is good.

Close to Westend shops, 15 minute walk to the city. Staff are friendly and helpful. Cafe has good cheap meals. Can't appraise the restaurant as I haven't tried it. 3 story building has no elevator, but we all need the exercise Lol :)

Very friendly and helpful service. Fabulous location, felt very secure. Wonderful food in the Joyful Chinese restaurant, with 5 star friendly service. I will stay here every time I come to Brisbane.

This resort was value for money in a great location, handy walking distance to many places, would recommend to anyone looking for a one or two night stay close to restaurants, the river and South Bank.

I have now stayed at this budget hotel 3 times because I like the convenience of the location and it's a quiet establishment with comfortable beds.

For what I paid it was acceptable. The staff were excellent and thats what counts. The bed was comfortable and bathroom was fine. The furniture was old, scatched and worn badly and the clock didnt work. For my purposes and price I paid it was acceptable.

We stayed in a twin room with balcony which was fine for our requirements, it was basically furnished and spacious enough and clean. Slightly disappointed to find that the advertised kitchen facilities were not actually in the room there was only tea/coffee stuff. There was a shared kitchen elsewhere but no crockery so not much use for self prepared food which I thought was the whole point of having kitchen facilities anyway. Despite this the place was OK and we'd stay there again as the price was reasonable for the room we got. I've put average for the location because I don't know how you rate this. We had a car to get around further afield but it's not far to Southbank parklands and easy walking to the West End. Secure parking and quiet location.

Hotel was what you would expect for price, good location. Didn't have a car but carpark appeared adequate. Wireless a bit on the expensive side and some difficulties connecting one day. Drain in bathroom floor smelt - a real put off in what is meant to be a first world city. You may want to check the smell before confirming room.

basic motel but very central and close to attractions. Free parking! Has coin-op laundry with iron and dryer. Many restaurants and supermarket closed by. Paid wireless Internet which works fine. Recommended for families, business, etc. I stayed 3 nights on a business trip.

Best price for the location, 20 min on foot to city but very near to West End location: restaurants, bar, market, gym...and South Bank. Simple room, but pay channel included. I just didnt like the cleanliness in the bathroom, not 100 % clean, but it is not 5 stars hotel. Reception friendly and descomplicated. They just check my reserve from my last name. Great !
