The room was at the back of the hotel with a frosted glass window and a brick wall beyond that it was very small and very very hot. Their were air conditioning units under the room window which were very noisy and we think that is why the room was so hot. I explained to the reception we had turned off the radiator but the room was so hot it had caused problems with my asthma during the night and I had had no sleep. I asked to swop rooms but no other room was available so they did supply us with 2 fans which did cool the room down but we had another very noisy night.
Nothing was too much trouble for the young receptionist as I booked in and the staff who i was in contact with were more than helpful and they did Smile!! which does make a change.
This Hotel is currently being refurbished with no detremental effect, after staying here in the Summer the improvments were obvious, completion of the dining room, ideal if you have a young family as its nice and quiet.
First room we were offered had a noisy extractor fan outside the window. Second room much better although bathroom walls very damp (black showing through wallpaper). Hotel rooms need some money spending on them to bring them up to date but this is compensated to some extent by the fact it's in an excellent location.
Elegant and cheap. Perfect.
Ideal location, away from the noisy end of the seafront but well served by trams and buses to get visitors anywhere in Blackpool. Hotel was clean and quiet. Rooms were particularly large. Staff were accomodating and friendly.
The hotel was excellent, its staff were extremely helpful and friendly, nothing was ever to much trouble for them. The hotel is just close enough to the illuminations and other tourist facilities, but just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre for some peace and quiet. The famous Blackpool Trams stop just outside the hotel for both directions, there is also bus stops ouside as well. You will not find a better hotel in Blackpool
The room was very basic and in need of modernisation, however it was clean and comfortable. Overall the hotel was a bit dated and had typical problems you could expect to find with a large older property such as plumbing and general wear and tear. Acceptable for a short stay.
