Savoy Hotel Frankfurt

The hotel is in an excellent location however this does make it noisy. If you book a room request it away from the main road and a couple of floors up. We had a room on the first floor which was noisy and drafty. We moved during the week due to noisy neighbours and had a much warmer and quieter room on the third floor. Also none of the curtains close so you have no privacy on the lower floors. The breakfast was very expensive so I would recommend you eat out as there are loads of places in the station just over the road. The room was clean and comfortable although the pay TV is very expensive so if you don't understand German you are stuck with CNN and Sky Sports! We found the staff very helpful with good English and I would stay at this Hotel again.

As always, the staff is friendly, helpful and efficient and the facility is clean.

We stayed at the Hotel Savoy for one night, towards the end of a long vacation. The hotel is right across the street from the Hauptbahnhof, kind of to the southeast -- just take the underground pedestrian passage and you're just around the corner from it. It's clean, conveniently located (just take U- or S-Bahn to wherever you need to go), and features a nice pool, sauna, and steam room on the top floor. (Note that all of the latter are only available until 10 PM -- they shut the lights off automatically! I believe that area reopens at 7 AM, but I could be wrong.) The rooms are the standard size -- small but not uncomfortably so. The shower/tub in our room was a bit awkward as it was very high -- when standing in the shower, my head was nearly at the ceiling, and I am just a little bit over average height for an American! One note: wi-fi is not complimentary. Also, we were charged extra for a room with air conditioning...but as it was such a hot day when we were there, we didn't mind paying!

No big problem for this hotel. Location is very convenient for backpacker. Service is ok without any uncomfortness. Very recommended. Price is economic. Good

Small rooms but excellent location and very friendly staff. The swimming pool on the 9th has very nice views over the city.

The location of the hotel is good, immediately opposite the railway station. However, we found the hotel somewhat run-down compared with a previous stay e.g. curtains in the room were a bit tattered. also, light came in through a gap in the side of the window, despite shutters. The hotel, could do with a face-lift. However, we still enjoyed the pool and fitness facilities, and quality of breakfast was good.

Hotel was adequate but, as with many European hotels in this price bracket, hardly "spacious" and nothing outstanding.

This hotel is very close to the mail railway station at Frankfurt. I enjoyed my stay here and the facilities were nice. I would stay again if i visit Frankfurt

The electronic key system did not work so it was not very convenient, the rest was ok

Couldn't be happier with this place. The service was great - I think reception is open 24 hours. The beds are ridiculously comfortable, the pillows are huge. The bathrooms are spotless. There's a gym (and apparently a pool... but I didn't go looking). Really, this hotel was fantastic. Very conveniently located next to the station as well. Obviously, there is some traffic noise but that didn't bother me. And breakfast is 16 EUR so I would recommend skipping that :P

Nice hotel right next to the Bahnhof!!! For the price, there is nothing to say EXCEPT the following: ventilation in the room is mediocre. I know this is a room without air conditioning and this justifies the price BUT, still some ventilation is required! When you come back at night, the air in the room is very stale and even after opening the window and the room door that gives on to the corridor, the aire circulation is non-existant. This is the only negative point I have!

A very good location near the railway station with a very nice view of the city at the pool on the roof. A comfortable hotel with good service. I had a nice stay at the hotel.
