Getting there:Take the dual carriageway following signs for Funchal. Exit left at the signpost for Funchal/Hospital/Porto. Drive round the roundabout and take the exit marked Hospital/Avenida do Mar. At the traffic lights, turn left towards Funchal and just 100 meters more at your right hand it´s the Classic Hotel Savoy. The closest resort to the city centre, the Savoy Resort is just 10 minutes walk from the bustling harbour, right in the middle of Funchal’s restaurant quarter. Madeira Airport is 20 kms away (20 mins).

Excellent with all the amenities you'd want from a resort hotel.
The Savoy is to be demolished and rebuilt at the end of the season. The rooms are in need of updating, but this is not practical for the short space of time left. Very small television in room which was disappointing. Do not confuse this Hotel with the Royal Savoy which are time share apartments. - The guests of the Savoy can use the facilities of the Royal Savoy. The Food at the Savoy was really excellent as you would expect from a 5* Hotel. A very beautiful hotel - just a little faded now - Staff very helpful and attentive.
