"Decent budget hotel. however, we had a very bad experience in the very beginning. the hotel charged us an exchange rate of 40bhat/ USD whereas the actual rate was 35.5. They would not even accept USD for the balance payment. They blamed hotel club and said that hotel club demands this exchange rate.

"I had read negative reviews re this hotel so was prepared. In reality, it is not that bad. The room was clean with basic facilities, all of which worked.
Location good, only 50 yards from beach (no seaview, though) and surrounded by restaurants, convenience stores, shops, bars etc though the soi itself is quiet. There are however some interesting features for the unwary. No1, on checking in to the hotel they will ask for a 1000 baht deposit in cash. This to cover any breakages (there is a long itemised list in the hotel room ranging from 100 baht for stined (sic) bed sheet to 6000baht for the TV). On check out, the money will be refunded less breakages, provided you have not lost the receipt. No2, the room service menu looks cheap but if you read it you will find a 100 baht surcharge for calling the operator to order, 200 baht for delivery of the food to your room and 300 baht for the chef to cook it for you.
