Getting there:Cnr Princess & Dowling Streets, located two blocks south of the Central City landmark the Octagon. If driving from either North or South drive into Central City Octagon and follow Princes Street to the corner of Dowling Street.
Check-in Procedure:1400hrs Early check in can be arranged prior to arrival. Late check outs can be arranged prior to departure. Subject to availability and a cost may apply.
Car parking:Valet Car Parking Service at $11.50 inc gst per night. Set down area on Princes Street next to Hotel entrance.
Child Policy:Children and Extra Guests (Any additional charges are payable direct to the hotel) Rollaway bed available in larger rooms @ $30.00 Children 12 year and under Stay free using exsiting bedding. Room Rate based on either single or Double share basis. Extra Person rate of $30.00 per adult applies.
Overall we enjoy the stay in this hotel. Location is great and room is clean. The hotel is in city center and it is hard to find a car park near to the hotel for check in. Even if you want to use their valet service, you have to first park your car somewhere and drop your car key at the reception. Although they have a basement car park but it is very small and I found that they actually just park my car at an open car park near to the hotel. The pay and display parking area is free between 6pm to 9am. So you may want to consider to park your car by your own in this parking area instead of paying $10 for the valet service.

I found this to be a great Hotel at reasonable price.
We stayed for two nights in Dunedin - loved the location of the hotel - just a block away from the Octagon. Lots of eateries and pubs near by and just up the road from the iSite where you can organise excursions. Reception staff were helpful, and we ate one dinner at the restaurant - very well presented and tasty. Enjoyed the Buffet breakfast - especially the muffins! Would certainly stay there again.
A very peculiar view of "service". I wanted to see if a room was available before 2pm but no one seemed interested in dealing with that. I wanted to stay an extra night, but they couldn't do it at the same rate, I had to go back to Hotel Club. I did that which was OK and got an even better rate. Why didn't they just roll the booking over? The foyer is most uninviting, but the breakfast was good.

We found the room very comfortable and spacious with a lovely view.
We found staff very friendly and obliging re information .Breakfast menu was excellent though pricy re $52 for two for a full cooked breakfast and 45 for a continental.Secure car parking underneath for $10 daily and valet service though it was a very small car parking area and very full in peak.Doubleglazed windows in room so very quiet on main street.Heating in room excellent.Big bathroom, bath and well stocked in soap, hand lotion, etc for guest.They also had a pillow menu.A well stocked mini bar in room and tea and coffee making good range.I would definitely reccommend it as a hotel to stay in Dunedin.

Great location, huge room and really comfortable. Parking is a real negative - nowhere to park to check in and only valet parking available in their own carpark.
Really good accesible rooms I use a wheelchair to get around and this room was set up perfectly for me
This was a very nicely appointed Hotel in a beautiful city. The room was large with an high ceiling. We enjoyed the stay very much.
We would have liked more crockery (bowls) provided in the room so we could have catered for our own breakfast.
Huge room, so big TV was prob too far for viewing in bed. Retsaurant service good & reas priced. Highly recommended!
