Sea Temple Resort & Spa Port Douglas

Its a beautiful place, with great staff, but so expensive. I'd definitely love to do this sort of resort again but I think I'd go off shore where you at least get some meals included.

Penthouse apartment was very good, as was the friendly service,spa area hadn't been cleaned, with dirty towel and glasses left, fridge in this area and several lights did not work.Lagoon area very nice.Quite a distance from shops and restaurants. Would stay here again.

We decided at the last moment to go to Port Douglas for the night to celebrate my 50th Birthday which my husband was away for. It was absolutely beautiful. The room, the facilities and the staff were all exemplary. Don't know why we haven't booked there before. Will certainly be going back for a longer stay.

We went as a family and our room opened directly into the pool which was fantastic for the kids. I would recommend this resort very highly, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean and had everything you needed including a washing machine and dryer. Fantastic......

I thought the room was a little sterile, no lounge chair and not much space for the price. To watch the television you have to sit on the bed and the end of the bed is right in front of the glass sliding door which you can see the neighbours next door, so you have to keep the blinds drawn. the best feature was the spa.The spa size was 10 out of 10. Carpet around the bedroom would be better.

A beautiful resort fresh and new at the southern end of the 4 mile beach ...great golf course next door which we loved too . Friendly staff and excellent service. We ate at the restaurant twice ..food was delicious and we looked over the lagoon while a talented flautist entertained us ...delightful!The only negative was the long walk into town (an hour up the beach ) but as we love walking it was something we enjoyed! There is a very regular shuttle bus which services guests from all the hotels into town which we used most days and it goes up til 12 midnight so very useful. We had a lovely second honeymoon and plan to return next year.

We had a fantastic time at the Sea Temple Resort in Port Douglas and as this was where we became engaged it will forever hold very fond memories for us.

Love it, love it, love it - such a beautiful place!!! My boyfriend even proposed to me there... Will be going back next year, and the next, and the next.....

Nice pool and pool bar facilities. Gym equipment was disappointing.

Absolutely fabulous. second time to this resort. received a room upgrade to 2 bedroom appt with Private Plunge Pool for being a repeat customer. Total Luxury. this is good service. worth going back again.

Excellent resort to relax. It was well connected to Port Douglas by bus. Staff were helpful and friendly. The best bit about it is the lagoon style pool!

The pool was magnificent and the service from every staff member we encountered was excellent. Dinner at the restaurant was great but the breakfast did not change at all from day to day which was a little disappointing. The spa was truly wonderful. We will definitely be going back on our next trip. The rooms were lovely with every need catered for.

Had a lovely and relaxing stay here. Conveniently located just outside Port Douglas. Accommodation, swimming pool, restaurant and bar areas are all excellent. Staff are helpful and friendly.

Myself and my husband arrived at the Sea Temple on Christmas Eve 2007, for a five day stay, we were very pleasantly surprised, its even better than it looks in the photos. Its a really beautiful property, really calm feeling and the lagoon is just wonderful. We enjoyed Christmas dinner and had a nice breakfast there on a number of days. The staff at reception were wonderful, very friendly helpful in a non intrusive way, in particular a guy called Nathan. Our studio room was bright, clean and plenty big for the two of us, with a huge jacuzzi in the bathroom and located right at the lagoon which was a big plus, we had our own sun loungers and patio area. Its situated a bit outside Port Douglas so transport is needed, in our case we used the shuttle bus, a little bit of an inconvienence to be honest. My only negative remark is that the internet just off the reception area is very expensive. We really enjoyed our stay.

Great facilities in a good location away from the main town ( 10 minute shuttle bus or drive). Fabulous rooms. The staff are very friendly, although are in need of some training as they are not very attentive in the restuarant or at noticing things needed clearing away etc This could be due to the large number of backpackers working at the hotel ( maybe more permenant staff to backpackers would help) Chris (one manager) is very helpful and gets things done.All in all a great stay as we wanted peace and quiet and to be left alone, not have someone at our beck and call.

Rooms lovely. Went in August and pool was too cold for all but the hardy to swim in. They need more staff so don't expect rapid restaurant service. Good location near the beach. Easy to get cab into Port Douglas, didn't use the shuttle.

Swimming pool is beautiful and very well maintained. Day Spa prices were ridiculously expensive. Buffet breakfast had no variation 5 mornings in a row.

The room itself was amazing, however, its cleanliness was not impressive.. The floors and carpet were putrid and there were footprints on the sheets in one room and it appeared as though someone had been sitting on the bed. Not good enough for such an expensive hotel.

Really nice service - modern rooms - a bit hard to get around the place as always have to walk on outside of property. other feedback is the pool bar could use work (i.e. music, not charging $5 deliver for food from restaurant)
