Secret Cliff Resort & Restaurant Phuket

We stayed here for two nights,, location is great, wonderful views and quiet but close to Patong & Karon beaches. I would summarize the hotel by saying great room, amazing views but the lack of interest from the staff was visible. The restaurant staff were unhappy and lacked any service initiative. It really was a shame as it took away from the excellent location and overall product. The free breakfast was very average, but again the service detracted from the overall experience. They need to regain a sense of true Thai hospitality.

I found the room to be of good size, the bed was huge. The shower was terrible - kept pulsing hard then soft pressure, hot then going cold. Toilet did not have hand spray like every other toilet in Thailand - very disappointing, and it blocked up on second day. Because it was quiet and few guests, staff seemed to be enjoying the restaurant at night time more than the guests, laughing, screeching girls voices and playing games out of boredom - very unprofessional! We didn't want to go in there for dinner. I got charged for a coffee separately at breakfast time for no reasonshould have been free. Complained to reception staff but nothing happened. Manager of restaurant was cold, and not friendly at all. She seemed to be at pains to help with anything - I think your staff really need to improve their English skills, as they appeared not able or want to communicate at times. . hotel is looking a little on the tired side. I am sorry but we wouldn't recommend to friends or others.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We loved the location as we didn't want to be on the main stretch at Patong. Tuk tuk rides from the hotel to Patong beach were 300baht. The staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. They helped us book the island hopper tour and the Fantasea show and got us tuk tuks when we needed one. The breakfast was average though and for those that don't like climbing the steep hill I suggest booking the garden suite rooms. We would definitely stay here again!
