Senator Gran Via 21 Hotel Madrid

Check in and Check out was straight forward and quick. The view was amazing! Room was small but cosy. The bed had a remote to make it incline but it didnt work. No star was taken off for that cos it wasnt needed.

This hotel is perfectly situated in the city. The rooms are small but that is Europe. Enjoy your stay here!

Very close to shops and the metro, as matter of fact right out of metro station. very convenient. walking distance to theaters, shops, restaurants. Busy area, lot of things to see.

Only one night, but the location is superb. Very clean, nothing fancy (no need to), great to sleep and take a shower. That becomes a plus because you have to go out and enjoy La Gran Vía. Taxis, metro station, 30 to 40 euros to the airport. Watch out with the breakfast not good for the value. We will stay again because of the location and cleanliness, but will have breakfast in a better place.

It's a very good hotel. A little bit old, but in a very good shape. The location is very good. It's in a central location and to be closer to the subway the it is, just being inside the subway... The only thing to consider is that together with some very good bars are some scort girls all the time in the streets in front of the hotel. If it doesn't bother you (it wasn't a problem for me) then this is a perfect hotel.

The hotel was clean, well-maintained and the staff were very helpful. The location is very central but if you walk down the wrong street, you could expereince the seedier side of Madrid otherwise most of the really nice areas are within walking distance. We had a seventh floor room and noise was not a problem but the square right in front of the hotel was pretty noisey 24 hours a day.

Staff were exceptionally helpful after all my documents were pick pocketed. A very pleasant stay all round. Would gladly use the hotel again

The staff were friendly and helpful, the hotel was clean and the location is very convenient for seeing the sights on foot or by metro. The room was well equiped, but small and quite noisy at night because of the city centre location.

Reception staff were really nice and welcoming and spoke perfect english.Hotel is very clean and despite being on such a busy street, with shutters and double glazing it was a quiet as any I have ever stayed in.No early morning cleaning staff noises either.It is a bit near a red light district but this could easily be ignored.

nice and well located hotel in the heart of Madrid close to Puerto del Sol and with metro station in front of the hotel. spacious and clean rooms, good beds. Even the hotel is located on Gran Via with a lot of traffic it's quiet inside thanks to good isolation. Would stay here again.

We stayed at the Senator Gran Via Madrid in February 2008. We found staff at reception to be very friendly, efficient and helpful. Rooms were spotless and the general decor, cleanliness and ambience of the hotel was first class. Buffet breakfast was excellent and had a good range of choices. Maria in the kitchen makes great omelettes! We used the hotel dining room on one occasion but felt that it was a bit overpriced for the choice of menu offered.The proximity of the hotel to the red light district is not a problem. There are some good restaurants within walking distance and we felt entirely safe walking in the area at night.

Excellent location for exploring Madrid. All sites very walkable from here. Entrance to hotel a bit tacky with a newspaper stall right at the door but once you are inside its lovely. Rooms have all facilities you will need and the breakfast is ideal although the staff could have been more pleasant. The street leading to Puerto del Sol from the hotel is full of hookers, never seen so many in the one place! Overall would recommend the hotel.

Central location in easy reach of sights, shops and restaurants. Good room and facilities, with very helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. A little pricier than some hotels but the location, services and convenience make the extra worthwhile. Recommended.

We really enjoyed our hotel stay. It was clean, staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and there was no noise from the surrounding street area, no mean feat given that it's on one of the busiest streets of the capital. We would definitely go back, and would recommend it to anyone else considering a trip to madrid.

the location is great. very close to main attractions. the staff was helpfull. the room we got first was very small and was changed to a bigger one immidiatly

The hotel in first class and is in a fantastic location to visit all the sites in Madrid. No noise could be heard from the streets. The beds were luxurious and are reclining a variety of different types of pillows are available on request. The breakfast was excellent. The only faults which were minor were that the hangers in the wardrobes were very high and unreachable unless you were 6 ft. The room was not spacious. If in Madrid again would definitely stay in this hotel as don't think one could get any better.. and was excellent value for money

Hotel staff were very helpful. Breakfast substantial. Bar lunch very good. Location of Hotel is excellent - on Gran Via , Metro outside, close to bus stop for Madrid Vision tour bus. Walking distance of Puerto del Sol, and shopping. Lots of lovely restaurants.
