Shaftesbury Metropolis London Hyde Park

It was the third time at this hotel and I found the location great, next to Paddington Station and close to Nothing Hill. The staff is always nice and ready to help at all time. Eventhought the room are a bit small they are well decorated, maintain and clean. I am looking forward to go again.

The hotel in general is pretty good. Convenient location. Good price. Rooms are small but nice, clean. You want to request a room where the window faces outside, where fresh air can come in. Our first room had a window that looked out at the interior of the hotel. It got a bit claustrophobic. The staff isn't very good at recommending places to eat. So if they only tell you McDonalds and KFC are close, don't listen to them. There are other good places (pubs/indian/fine dining) blocks away from the hotel. I recommend the hotel but w/ the above warnings. And book at your own risk as both times we were checking in, other customers arrived and their bookings were completely lost. Other reviews here have mentioned this. We lucked out. But the lost bookings thing is real. And seemed like a real bummer if it happens to you.

Ok, so rooms are small, but so what? If you need a big room go somewhere else, if you like nice staff, free Internet connection, clean and very nice rooms (for London quality the standard is absolutely great) this is the place. I travel a lot in business and can really recommend this hotel.

Ok. Room was a bit small but adequate, but still a bit far from where I needed to be. Internet was ok with cable and wifi. TV connection was not very good.

A nice clean hotel, however the rooms are very small and you feel very squashed. I couldnt have stayed in there for more than one night.

had difficulty finding the hotel as the signboard was really obscure! But otherwise the rooms and service was great! enjoyed my stay!

A good hotel for the Heathrow Airport Express, Paddington. Clean and modern, especially the dining room.

We were happy with everything in hotel, exept of the size of the bedrooms. Rooms are too small. No place to keep laggadge.

The room was quite modern and comfortable.However, The room was very small with little room for storing luggage.Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. I would use this hotel again for the location and the cleanliness.

Yhe club room is brand new and magnificeni. 5 minutes from Pddington station.

Roughly halfway between Paddington and Edgeware Road stations, it's a bit of a hike with a heavy suitcase. Otherwise it's a pleasant location, and my single room was beautifully furnished if somewhat small. The breakfast was enjoyable but a bit pricey. However, given the very reasonable room rate, I can't really compain!

5 minutes to closest tube, only bad thing, however if you like to walk then it is only 10-15 minutes to Marble Arch so the location is great if you like to walk, all depends on what you are after.

Within walking distance of Paddington station. Clean well appointed rooms. Breakfast expensive. Didn't check what facilities existed in hotel. Would use it again.

Newly refurbished, very clean, convenient location. Small room but nothing out of the ordinary for London. Would definitely consider staying there again.
