Nice quiet room on ground floor at back of Hotel.
Despite serious flooding problem in hotel just 24 hours before, most facilities up and running well. However, aircon failed in room allocated, but immediate move to upgraded room was carried out without quibble. Have stayed here several times before and despite some rooms now looking a little tired the overall efficiency of staff, non-smoking policy throughout, excellent breakfast buffet and location all mean that I would not hesitate to stay here again.
This was the smallest and most crowded room I've ever stayed in. No room for a laptop on the desk because of the (small) TV sat on the same. A simple wall bracket would make so much difference. The bathroom was minuscule. I am of average height and build and had to squeeze into the shower through a gap no more than two toothbrushes end to end so I would challenge anyone remotely rotund to be able to shower at all. The internet - whilst "free" (i.e. included in the price) was less than reliable. All in all, for a one-night stay when you're on a short trip (not much luggage) it's bearable but I wouldn't recommend a stay any longer than that.
Good location and friendly staff. But noise insulation is very bad, as is the selection of channels on TV (for those who bother about these things!). Mini bar was unstocked, not even a bottle of water. For a 4-star hotel it should be better, though price-wise it´s not too bad (for London standards).
I had a single room that was very small. Nonetheless, it was perfect for my needs and had all amenities that I required - a desk, a large-enough cupboard, free 24 hour access to broadband, clean bathroom, decent size and fresh towels, tea-coffee making facilities, hairdryer and reading lights above the bed. I used to appreciate the availability of a fresh apple at reception each day too. It was wonderfully close to Paddington Railway Station and I would certainly stay there again.
Bathrooms are far too small, rooms aren't big either. But great service, very clean rooms, and close to the paddington station, notthing hill etc.
Well located close to Paddington station (5 minutes walk). Good, wired internetconnection, with wifi included in the price. Butu REALLY small rooms, space to turn around, but not much more.
Better than average for this area. Comfortable and clean room
The hotel was clean and tidy, room was cleaned everyday with fresh towels and coffee and sugar replaced. The room was very small and not what we had expected, there was 1 chair or the bed to sit on. . we asked for a smoking room and the hotel was non smoking which we were not told until arival. It was a pleasent quite and peaceful stay.
A very small double (despite being upgraded to a "Club Room") but the loft helped. Location is excellent; close to Paddington station and it's a long but nice walk through Hyde Park to the V&A Museum area. If you think of this hotel as an economy hotel you will be very pleased. Value for the money was high and I could easily stay here again if the same thing is true next time I'm in London.
Although the last time we came last week we had a family room for two which gave us extra space but on previous occasions the room has been small and also the bathroom particularly so with no shelves for keeping own toiletries etc.
Very warm in the cheap rooms, fairly small (120cm) bed too.
Very welcoming and very friendly staff. Ideal location for the tube taking you to other parts of London. Only stayed one night but can't fault it. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful. Wide choice. Would recommend and would use again.
Hotel room small but clean and with all facilities, location within 15minutes walk of marble arch/Oxford Street, need to use tube 4-5mins walk to get anywhere else, nice location for Regents park (summer) and Hyde Park, would stay again but only for 1 night at a time.
Have to say that the badroom is too small for a normal human being, otherwise great hotel.
A thoroughly excellent no-frills but comprehensively equipped and spotlessly clean hotel, especially ideal for the business traveller. A real plus was that smoking is absolutely not allowed anywhere within the hotel! The continental breakfast buffet was extensive and also featured lots of fresh fruit. Thoroughly recommended.
You have to step outside to change your mind with a single room so if you have a large bag it might be wise to pay a bit extra for a double. Their administration is lacking. I extended my stay with the night porter and when I came back the next day (after checkout time) all my belongings had been removed from my room because the booking had not been processed properly (even though it was paid for in advance). Not happy! A great invasion of privacy - they made no attempt to contact me or their night staff. Other than that glitch, the hotel was clean and did appear to be recently renovated, in a very handy location near Paddington Station if you're using the Heathrow Express.
Overpriced for the stay. Good breakfast but far too many negatives. Room far too hot, expensive room service was not good value, some toiletries missing and appeared after 2 calls to reception, and finally had a 05.25am wake-up call when asked for 07.30!! Will not be staying again.
Very friendly & helpful staff. Free broadband connection, a very helpful young man helped me to connect. I was also upgraded on arrival. Convenient for Paddington tube/train station Would definately stay here on my next trip to London.
Room small but clean, comfortableand warm. Service very good, staff very courteous and helpful. Internet connection in room very useful. Hotel position very convenient.
