Stayed for a week in November 2011 whilst renovations were in full swing so some facilities were not available, however the staff were all friendly and the only hiccup was the air conditioner didn't feel as cool as it could have been. Have seen the resort before in 2009 and would stay again when the reno's have finished
Excellent location on jungle, beach doesn't tend to be used but very large pool facilities. Service was very high quality and friendly
I have used hotel shuttle to downtowntwice, and going is OK, but coming back is serious timing problem (too long) which you should definitely review. We waited at 1 Borneo for nothing for 20minutes. Also the frequency of the shuttle bus is not convenient. I think you should review as well.
Great resort for families and a wonderfully helpful staff.
The service has to be improved.. especially in the pool area. But otherwise, I will still recommend the hotel, it's beautiful and peaceful.
We stayed a week and were upgraded which was great. We had a rainforest view which was really quiet and peaceful. The resort itself was excellent: nothing was too much trouble and there was a wide range of activities available. The pool was a good size and even when most of the loungers were occupied never felt too busy. There was a kids club with a wide range of activites which looked good. If you want a really quiet time with no kids at all then maybe it's not the place for you but we were happy. All the food we ate was excellent (we tried Tepi Laut, Naan and the Coffee Terrace) although we did feel that the prices were expensive given that you could get equally good food in town for a quarter of the price. The nature resort with the orangutan visit was well managed and the time spent observing the youngsters was enough for most people: a visit is recommended. Overall an excellent visit and we'll be going back!
Excellent service nothing was ever too much trouble. Everyone was very friendly. Hotel is out of town but easily reachable by taxi or shuttle bus. Very good facilities should be enough to keep everyone happy.
Newer room furnishings (sheets etc) would be an improvement. Overall, it was a very well run hotel and was very enjoyable.
