The original manor house has been extensively refurbished and upgraded to create 18 distinctively different suites, each as individual as you are, including the stunning Bridal Suite (though we don’t insist you are married to enjoy its stylish facilities!)
Each has far-reaching views over the surrounding Hertfordshire countryside and is tastefully decorated in traditional country house style, with comfortable sitting area and en suite with bath and shower facilities. Some, like the Bridal Suite, have four-poster beds.
In the new hotel wing completed in 2007, there are 52 further standard double rooms, all with en suite facilities and air conditioning.
Although built in the new Millennium, they retain a Victorian feel in the décor and furnishings, and many enjoy views over the surrounding countryside.
The new wing also houses the hotel reception and is adjacent to the golf clubhouse. |

Less than and hour and only 25 miles north-west of central London, Shendish Manor is in Apsley, just outside Hemel Hempstead and accessed off the A4251 between Kings Langley and Hemel. Both M1 and M25 motorways are less than a 10-minute drive away; Heathrow is a half-hour drive and Luton Airport barely 15 minutes away. Fast trains go directly from London Euston to Hemel Hempstead and the train takes approx 20 minutes. From there we are 5-10 min away in a taxi. |
