The hotel staffs are very welcoming and they have made our stays very comfortable. Room is clean and views from our chalet is really nice. However having said that, unfortunately the room facilities are a bit run down. The bath tub is stucked and the in-room safe deposit box is locked. Wooden wardrobes can't be closed properly. And it is noisy whenever you walk around the room. No doubt the facilities are not reaching my expectations, but i did have a good time staying there....
Good experience. Room had been renewed, it was nice. Grounds are nice, well kept. Caution: grounds have monkeys, do not leave your room doors open. AC controls were new, so air was nice, well controlled. Breakfast and Dinning selection was focussed on asian clients. I tried the burger but had to spit out bones from the meat. From then I ate from the asian selection and the food was fine. Gym was great, good equipment and AC.
My overall stay in Sheraton Langkawi Beach Resort was good. The services was great, the staffs were all friendly. This hotel have its own private beach, it was a great place to relax and enjoy the sunset! However, the location of the hotel in Pantai Kok is far away from other restaurants and shops. You really need to rent a car for your convinence....
The bungalow accommodation is in a fine location with views of the sea and the mountains. Rooms are quiet and of a good size. Hotel has very friendly and helpful staff. The buffet breakfast has enormous choice and is good value. The meals in the indian restaurant are very good and also good value.
Overall the stay was good, but on the basis of expectations, rating (5-star) etc., the hotel is a bit worn down and the beach is not that nice. Restaurants and service both however very good!
The hotel personnel was always very attentive and friendly. The room we stayed in was a bit old, maybe the fact that it's all wood makes it look older, but the bathroom needed an upgrade as well. The air-conditioning was a quite noisy. The bus service from the lobby and the the rooms runs fairly well. The beach area was not very nice, a bit murky and small. The swimming pool is a bit small for a 5star resort hotel. The restaurants in the hotel are fairly expensive. There are some restaurants nearby that will do pick-up service. 10-15mins from the airport (18RM by taxi).
The resort sits on a 38-hectare land of tropical rain forest. It has a boardwalk that leads to private beach coves. Early risers will be rewarded with stunning sunrise here. I highly recommend the sea-facing rooms with balcony which commands a panoramic view of the sky, sea and greenery. A truly ideal place for rest and relaxation.
Friendly helpful beautiful people and place cannot recommended it any more highly that. The highlight of the trip was the 3 island hopping tour on jetski's as good as life gets and one of thoses amazing experiences you get to talk about for the rest of your life.
Fortunately, the ocean was in view from our room. Room was very comfortable. The jacuzzi in the room made it more worthwile....Not too many parking spaces though
Very good service and friendly...but didn't have a nice beach....
The courtesy buses are a bit of a nuisance at times and give off a lot of exhaust fumes which spoils the ambience of the place and makes you feel like you are back in the city. The sea where the hotel is situated is not good for snorkelling as it is very murky.
An excellent well run resort hotel. The staff are exceptionally friendly and the service absolutely first class. I can unequivocally recommend this hotel to any prospective customers.
No ordinary hotel. Very positive experience. Beautiful location. Nice rooms "inside the tropical forest". Monkies, flying squirrels and rather big lizards live on the premises. Good outside chinese restaurant "Kitta" near the resort can be recommended. Pse note: big jellyfish were found in the sea just outside the hotel beach. Jellyfish did cause rather bad burns. Clarity of sea water near the resort is also not good. Snorkling near the resort is not possible.
