We provide free shuttle service to Snow Monkey Park
When I was young, I traveled around Japan with a backpack, staying at youth hostels..
The parents of the youth hostels and the fellow lodgers gave me useful information about the travel and it helped me to make a plan for the next trip.

Invitation to a Roten Buro (Outdoor Onsen-Hot Spring):
On a mountain slope approximately six kilometers (4 miles) away from our Shimaya Hotel,
there is an outdoor hot spring (Roten buro) with a great view.
It is called 'Tohmi-no-Yu (Hot Spring with a Far Away View).'
At the sunset the sky is painted crimson: The night view is fantastic around this time.
The air is so clear that you can see as far as 30 kilometers (approx. 20 miles) away.
To use this 'Tohmi-no-Yu,' there is a small fee:
600 yen for the Public bath,
2,500 yen for 50 minutes for the Private bath with a sauna.
Note: The Private Roten Buro requires an advance reservation.
This unusually beautiful outdoor hot spring will certainly give you an unforgettable
experience. We at the Shimaya Hotel are happy to make your stay memorable and will give
you a ride to the Roten Buro and will come to pick you up at your desired time.

| Getting there: |
When you get to Yudanaka Station on the Nagano Dentetsu line. turn left out of station You will see a Lawson convenience store in front. You need to turn left and then turn right up the hill, keep the Lawson store on your right side. After 300m you will see a supermarket [e-store]. The Shimaya Hotel is on the left side next to the Haiku museum,20m after the supermarket[e-store]. If you arrive too late please kindly let us know. We will wait you until check in time. There are several restaurants less than 100 meters away from our hotel. You can have a light dinner for 500 to 2000yen there. There is a cinvenience store(Lawson) near Yudanaka Station.It is open around the clock. At Nagano Station, you have to change trains. You take Naganodentetsu line for Yudanaka.. But it doesn't make a good connection at times. So you had better consult the timetable. . From Nagano to Yudanaka, it takes about 45 minutes by express, or 70 minutes by local train |

mats. All guest rooms have air conditioning and TV. Amenities
include soap, shampoo, towels, yukata (light Japanese robe), and

We also have an on-site Onsen.
