The Shining Star has 8 Beachfront Log Chalets, 2 Beachfront Executive Spa Chalets, 2 Two Bedroom Apartments 3 One Bedroom Apartments and 4 Self-Contained Cabins. All Beachfront Chalets have own verandahs overlooking the Tasman Sea.

We are located and 11 Richards Drive, the Northern end of Hokitika off Highway State Highway 6.

Check-in Procedure:

Stayed here for 1 night. Expensive for what you get. Although the chalet we had was very clean it was a bit dated- old fashioned bedding and the decor was very plain. Bathroom tiny but very clean, best shower!. A good place to stay for a night or two.

A good place to stay but the indifference of the office male manager was disappointing. Very non shalant (sic) attitude.
