"You can only pay in US dollars at reception baht rate & room bill is charged at bank rate in baht. Very close to subway, nice breakfast.Walk in rate may be cheaper but the reservation is worth it as we checked in a few hours early with no charge." - nigel searle

It is not near entertainment area, but you can go anywhere by subway or by public taxi since it is along the big road.
