Siam Piman Bangkok Hotel

As others said, this is at least 20 minutes from the airport but the room was marvelous - large (kitchen/dining, lounge, bed, desk areas). Breakfast was also very nice in lobby restaurant. So excellent for break between flights, but travel into Bangkok not simple. Our bathroom only got slightly warm water on our visit.

The hotel location was good for us as we were visitng frineds that lived nearby, but it would be no good if you wanted to visit central Bangkok as the traffic is gridlocked for most of the day. The room was huge, it would suit a family that wanted the children to sleep in the same room as them, it would easily fit another two single beds. The room was quiet with no noise from other rooms, it was clean but lacked some extra touches such as cushions and tea making facilities, although they did supply us with a kettle on request, we then went to the supermarket to buy cups etc. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The pool was very small but clean with sunbeds provided. This hotel would be ideal for a stopover as near the airport.

Fantastic value for money. A lovely motel, quiet area off the main roads and 20 mins from Intl Airport. Extremely clean, modern and a pleasure to stay at.

We got a suite room, for 2 adults and one child in an extra bed. The room was clean, spacious, and quite charming. A nice little garden patio for the smoker in the family. Staff were very friendly. There is a Thai food market street about 5 minutes walk from the hotel. We bought food for dinner there and brought it back to the suite, which had a large table and microwave. The hotel is about 15 minutes by metered taxi from the airport and is a cheaper and very pleasant alternative to the Novotel airport hotel for a transit stay. Hardest part is getting the taxi driver to find it. Take a map. Use the meter. Should cost 150-200 bhat.

A good quality hotel with limited facilities but excellent service. We used it as a one night stop before flying out next day, and for that purpose it was excellent. Not in a great area, but it tries to "lift" the standard of some surrounding poor properties.... it tries really hard I have to say. A short walk takes you in to a very indiginous Thai market area which we found very interesting. With it being only 15 to 20 minutes from airport (and a 200 to 300 Baht taxi ride), this was an excellent and economic way to end our holiday.

For an easy overnight stay near the airport this is an extremely convenient hotel. And even better for the price. The rooms are lovely and clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. In hindsight and having now travelled around Thailand, the hotel's breakfast was by far one of the most expensive we encountered. So avoid that and the rest is well worth it. Also if the taxi driver won't use the meter - don't be fooled, the journey to the hotel should not cost more than THB100-150 (as at Jan 2009).

The receptionists were great and very friendly. The room was spacious and the hotel was nice. Howevr, the bathtub was installed incorrectly. When you took a shower the water flowed away from the back wall towards the floor. The bathroom got flooded every time you used the shower no matter how careful you were. It was frustrating.

This hotel is located 20mins from the now infamous Bangkok airport, however, taxi drivers instead of taking the new toll road will try to take you round in circles to put up the price of the taxi. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful and will ensure this does not happen on the way back to the airport. The hotel itself appear to be new with spacious rooms and a very quirky window in the bathroom!

A budget hotel near the new airport (only 150Baht taxi) but not near anything else. Std breakfast supplied was more than we could eat but very cheap at 320Baht. Limited English TV channels. Staff friendly and helpful.

This has got to be the best hotel I have EVER stayed in. The rooms were huge! The staff were all very friendly, and were willing to help with anything. Its not in the centre of Bangkok, but has many local amenities, like markets and shopping malls. I will definately go back to this hotel

Central to airport if you are staying over betwen flights. Very helpful service and the breakfast is wonderful. I will be staying here again. Dianne

It's good for overnight transit or possibly business trips. The hotel room is spacious, clean and looks relatively new. However the location is off the main road so a little difficult to find and nothing much around the area.

Great hotel loved the decor and nice big room with dining table and mini kitchen which made it like mini suite. Big C shopping centre near by,150 baht taxi ride into centre bangkok, close to airport, returned to airport for few hours when my flight got delayed, my only gripe is no breakfast included in price and the fact that you had to pay 100 baht a hour for the internet which was wired not wireless which was good as very fast. but apart from that enjoyed my two day stay, and would stay again if i needed to stay close to airport

Very friendly, helpful staff. Easy to get to and from the airport by taxi. Close to Fashion Island shopping centre. Quiet. Great value hotel in Bangkok for a short stopover between flights and if you're not interested in going to downtown Bangkok.

This's a very good hotel, new and clean! It's situable for people for one-night transit in Bangkok. The location is not easy to find, make sure you have printed the map and showed to the taxi-driver.

This hotel is situated about 15 min from BKK but its so new that my taxi driver had no idea where it was. I had the name of the hotel written in Thai and printed out a map, but the driver was still unsure of where he was going. It cost 250 Baht taking the toll highway on my way there from BKK, this took about 20 min. On the return trip avoiding the toll highway it was 150 Baht and about 5 min faster. The rooms are very large and well outfitted with high end materials and decor. Before bed they deliver fresh watermelon to the room, nice touch. The front desk tried to use an exchange rate of 38.25 baht to 1 USD (at the time the market rate was 31 Baht/ 1 USD), and charge my credit card in USD. I confronted the front desk agent about their uncompetitive exchange rate, and we settled on 33 baht/ 1 USD. Be mindful of this upon check-in. I would recommend this hotel for a flight stopover.
