The hotel is a very good value for the location. The immediate neighborhood of the hotel is a bit dodgy, but you are within 1 block of shopping streets and a metro stop. It does lack any special facilities like a work-out room and this was dissappointing for a hotel passing itself off with 4 stars.
The location of the hotel was very good, the service also, but the room was a little to small for a 4-Star-Hotel.
Quiet Hotel very close to the Gra Via - will definitely return
Good location for exploring Madrid and street is fine despite some reports otherwise (red light district etc). Nice quiet room just slightly dated and bed not that comfortable (a bit soft for me). Could use a refurb but otherwise fine - I'd say 3.5* rather than 4*.
A nice hotel with huge rooms! a computer to use the net free of charge in lobby! Staff helpful!
Great hotel in slightly unsalubrious area but still felt safe and easy walking distance to the centre. Very helpful reception staff.
Good location and good rooms. Breakfast was a dissapointment --> nothing special and some things that were supposed to be hot (e.g. eggs and sausages) were ice cold!
We were vey happy with this hotel. Despite the slightly seedy neighbourhood it was a brilliant location, minutes from the Gran Via metro stop & walking distance from the Plaza de la Puerto del Sol. Rooms well equipped, staff friendly and helpful, breakfast most acceptable tho the super strong Spanish coffee takes some getting used to. One drawback was the difficulty with finding a self-serve laundromat, partly bc. the nearby one closed for public holidays.
Excellent central location; 2 minutes from Gran Via metro station. Very clean hotel and pleasant staff. It is rather close to the red light district!
It is very close to Gran Via which unfortunately turns into the red light district at dusk... otherwise, great location! Breakfast is pretty good, hot and cold foods and is a little later on weekends which is perfect but be aware that they do not have much yoghurt so get in there early for the most variety!
We've enjoyed our stay. The hotel was clean & cozy, our room very spacious, reception desk efficient & helpful. The location was very central with lots of excellent restaurants at a very affordable price. Close to theatres & shops. A/port a bit too far, but we asked the reception desk to order a taxi and there it was in just 2 minutes. We would definitely stay in it again & recommend it to others.
Excellent hotel with excellent location, everything is within walking distance and Madrid tour bus leaves 100m from the hotel as well. Only minuses were no pool and no gym, but otherwise I definitely recommend this hotel. Price/quality is the best!
New and well equiped, just off the main street but looks in dozzy area especially at night.
A Hotel I have returned to. Strongly recommended.
Very pleasant stay in the Sieteislas Hotel. Well located for walking to all visitor attractions and handy for Metro. In side street just off Gran Via so were able to escape the noise and bustle of the crowds even though building work going on next door. This didn't bother us as work finished at 7 in the evening and they didn't work at the weekend. Staff very friendly and helpful and breakfast great.
We had a very good impression of the hotel; it was easily accesible by metro, the price was good (including a tasty and rich breakfast), and the staff were most friendly as well as professional. We had a room overlooking the street, and the night club and the local tapas bar attracted a lot of customers who seemed to have a good time, and they had a need for loud communication!
This hotel is in a very convenient location just off Gran Via, however it was in a red light area which if I had known would have caused me to look for a different hotel as I was travelling alone with my 7yr old daughter. Having said that we didn't encounter any problems and the hotel was more than adequate. I found the reception staff very helpful and friendly.
excellent location, excellent service
The Hotel was in a great location in a quiet street off the Gran Via. It's very easy to get to from the airport using the Metro and to walk to most of the majr sites & shopping. It was very clean and the breakfast was great. Staff were all very friendly & welcoming. Only porblem was the size of the twin room, with the relatively small beds squeezed together, but ok if you are spending most of your time out on the town
Good location in centre of Madrid. Only gripe is that all the TV channels are spanish and there is no radio, hardly 4 star
