"The room was tiny but that is a pretty standard gripe in New York. The staff was nice but pretty incompetent and check-in was a confusing mess. It is a good idea to call them before arrival to make sure they know what time you're planning on getting there- otherwise check-in is impossible until 3 and there is no where to leave your bags. "Don't go here for anything else than the excellent location! Checking-in was chaotic; the room we booked (supposedly 2 bedrooms) in first instance not available but we were offered to go to another appartment building. When we refused all of a sudden there was another room available. However, very, very small, on the 5th floor (no elevator) and aircon not working (at 35 C temp...). When we complained (again) the 2 bedroom original room was suddenly available but not clean yet. When we came back at the end of the day the cleaner did not come so we ended up making our own bed in a 200 eur/night hotel and cleaning the bathroom... The next day the room was cleaned however. This hotel (although I would not really call it like that) is WAY too expensive for what they offer (which is very little except the great neighbourhood)!" - Anonymous

"Be careful, they tried to over charge us. They never took in account the deposit we already paid and insisted it was our mistake. The room was very small but it was a good location. They didnt seem to care to rent this room out, even though they had building work going on right outside our window and door (we were on the ground floor). We were awoken by a jack hammer every morning at 7.30 and we had to walk over drills and rubble to get out of the building. I'm sure we just came at the wrong time and got the worst room. After complaning a couple of times they changed us to a different room for our last day, which let us see that they had nicer rooms available. If you're not too pushed on the room but want to be in a good location maybe this would suit you. " - Anonymous
