"great location. that is the only good thing i can say about this hotel. reception staff were slow and uninterested (i wasn't in a suit). food was nice but waiter never wrote our order down therefore always getting it wrong or forgetting something. rooms are average. you won't catch us here again." - Trebhair Cassidy

"We stayed here for a weekend & loved it. Spacious room. Lovely tile bath with tub, bidet, & 2 sinks. Chocolates on our pillows. In-room safe. Fabulous breakfast buffet which included desserts. The hotel building is new and upscale.
The location is a long (20 to 30 minute) walk to the Guggenheim Museum but a taxi was only about 5 euros.

The hotel, recently renovated, takes its name from the traditional district of Indautxu in the heart of the city´s commercial and financial area. Only ten minutes on foot from the Guggenheim Museum, Euskalduna´s Conference Hall and other places of interest like the Fine Arts Museum, the Maritime Museum or Calatrava´s Bridge.
The building that houses the Hotel Indautxu, with its fine exterior in the Bilbaino style and totally renovated interior, is just one example of that blending of the traditional with the modern that so well defines the spirit of this vibrant city.

*From Madrid, San Sebastian or Vitoria:
On the A-8 take “Plaza Zabalburu” Bilbao exit and go on until you reach it. Once there, take the fourth intersection to the right (C/ Autonomía), turn down the third street (C/ Iparraguirre) on the right, then take the first on the left (C/ Egaña). The hotel´s parking facilities are 100 metres away.
*From Santander:
On the A-8 towards Bilbao, take the “Sagrado Corazón” Bilbao exit and follow Sabino Arana street until you see a sign for Plaza Indautxu (C/Simón Bolívar). Follow this street to the end, and at the sixth junction, turn right (C/Aureliano Valle), go on to Plaza Bombero Etxaniz where you where you will find the entrance to the hotel.
