The Hotel SILVA, founded in 1956, is a 1920s villa located in one of most beautiful areas in Rome. This Hotel is corrently enjoy a new lease of life. Although its facade remains one of the most beautiful of the 1920s, under the regulations of the Ministry of Cultural Patrimony, the interior is being restructured and remodernized, taken back to its original splendour. Singles, doubles, and triples all have bathroom, frigobar, television, private phone and a socket to internet for your portable p.c. Please note that for all arrivals starting 1st of January 2011 a city fee will be applied: 2 Euro per person per day. This fee is not included in the hotel rate and it's to be paid directly at the hotel. The bar and the restaurant complete the hospitality of the Hotel and offers, in a friendly atmosphere, a creative and Mediterranean cuisine. All the rooms are elegantly furnished. Car parking:Hotel Silva has an agreement with a garage situated just at 300 metres from the hotel. The client will pay for the car directly at the garage.

Breakfast was very basic but the hotel was small, but clean and reasonably close to the Metro.
Very nice hotel in quiet area, not far from bus and metro station, friendly and well english speaking staff. Our room was gratious, dining room as well.
This hotel was nice and in a good location. I think the only thing that was disappointing was the breakfast and lack of service there.
Hotel is near to buses and also metro. The town is very calm and quiet. The staff helped us very much, i appreciete them. It's a good price for good hotel.
The hotel is about 10 mins away from the metro/bus stations which runs until midnight, a much quieter location then in the city centre. It was very clean and tidy and the breakfast was ok too. On the bad side, the shower (nice and powerful) do occasionally run out of hot water (but only 1 out of 3 nights and it was 12.30am) and the man who works at the reception was not very friendly. The phone in one of our room was not working so we reported it but it was never fixed. They are only minor problems to me so generally I do like this hotel a lot and will probably book it again next time I visit Rome, especially if my budget is tight.
Nice affordable and clean hotel in a relatively quiet Roman neighbourhood. Don't expect too much of the breakfast though. The rooms are air conditioned, but the system is a bit noisy. Some of the rooms are in the basement or the attic - the latter can be quite hot in the summer. The beds are good but take into account that the single person bed could be too small for you if you are tall. Take the map that this site offers with you, since not every taxi driver knows the hotel or its address. The subway station (Bologna) is at a 10 minute walking distance, it will take you to the centre in an instant. The next door restaurant is definately worth paying a visit, there is also a nice fish restaurant a few blocks away (ask the desk).
VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL STAFF. EXCELLENT LOCATION JUST AROUND CORNER FROM METRO STATION AND TWO STOPS FROM STAZIONE TERMINI. EXCELLENT ACCOMMODATION AND RATES PARTICULARLY FOR SINGLE TRAVELLERS. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Located in a quiet area about 10 minutes walk from the underground, just a few stops to Rome's centre. Suitable for a short stay in Rome.
