"I have stayed here once before, I am sure it was better then. The place seems to be more run down. Roms are the same, large and comfortable. Bath tub leaked and caused a flood in the bathroom, and there was no hot water. Carpets in need of cleaning badly, beds are comfortable and huge. Gardens are in desperate need of work as is much of the facilities. I would rate this place now as average, and not good value for money." - Gary Drane

"Hotel rooms require a complete reburmishment as they all lack proper maintenance e.g. air-conditioning do not function very well, electrical fittings shoddy, taps requiring changing and beds are sunken. "I was told this hotel was formaly one of the Hilton collection and you can see that it probly was once a great place. It has a fantastic pool, a great gym, nice gardens, orchids all around, and things for kids to do. That was my first stay here but it was my 4th time to Surabaya. Rooms are huge and very well set out, aircon worked great which is always a blessing in Surabaya. Pricing was a little expensive but lack of other accomidation around the time of my stay was the reason for choosing. My problem was the location to places I had to be and things I wanted to see. Eating outdoors beside the pool looked good, but in hindsight it was mistake, food was good and great selection. The down side was having to eat with mosquito coils burning under the table, next time it will be room service. Overall it was good." - Gary Drane
