We enjoyed our 3 night stay immensely. Excellent location. Walking distance to Harbor and Opera House. Loved the elegant decor throughout the hotel. The sitting room off main lobby was so homey and cozy with a lovely wood burning fire place which was lit up in the evening. The marble bathrooms were exquisite and the king size bed so comfy. The rooms were exceptionally large. Plenty or room to relax after a long day of touring. Free internet was also a big plus. If looking for a hotel to stay at in Sidney, Look no further. This is the place for you!

Can't beat this place! It's about 1.5 blks from the harbour where the ferry runs and where the buses run. However, it's quiet. The people in the hotel were beyond friendly. Stu and Willie were fantastic and extremely helpful.
Old charm that greets you the minute you walk in. Really enjoyed my stay. Just something about the place that caught my facination. Appreciate the help from the concierge on a couple of occasions and such a fantastic location. Will definately stay their again.
Great Place
A boutique size hotel with lots of character. The service was excellent from the moment we arrived until we left 5 days later. Some of Sydney's best restaurants, the art gallery and the "Rocks" area are within comfortable walking distance. Our room was large and very comfortable with all modern facilities.
Service was excellent- friendly and polite. The hotel feels much more cozy and homely than most others I have stayed at and is an easy walk from the Opera House. I will definitely be back.
This was like stepping back in time. What a beautiful hotel!!! Our room was spacious and luxuriously appointed. The staff were attentive but unobtrusive. The position is great - so close to Circular Quay and the Opera House and lots of greta restaurants. Will be staying there agin.
This is a very classy establishment indeed. Old world charm meets modern day efficiency. Located near Circular Quay transport hub and ferry terminal with gardens and museums and central business district all within an easy walk. 10 out of 10 for location. The rooms are very large and functional - everything worked well. The Bar has a club like atmosphere and a very classy dinning area gives the ground floor an inviting and personal atmosphere. The staff were all very professional and friendly. So far this would have to be my favourite hotel in Sydney. Will stay again for certain.
A great location - I got the train from the Airport to Circular Quay and just a 2m,in walk. My room had a partial view out across Circular Quay and was very quiet. Good room size and very comfortable beds. Got a great deal throught Hote Club so very happy with the price. Rather old fashioned in design and probably wouldn't hang out there all teh time
Great location close to Circular Quay, trains & ferries. Beautifully restored old hotel with large rooms, and immaculately clean. Book-in staff abrupt, unfriendly & not helpful. Arrived at 8.45am after early flight (advised them at time of booking I would arrive 11am). Check-in time is 3pm but my room was still not ready at 3.20pm. First time a hotel has not made provision to book me in earlier than check-in time if I have notified them I will be arriving earlier because of flights. All other staff at the hotel were extremely welcoming and helpful.
Sir Stamford was a great experience. I will be coming back again. Our room was fabulous.

The Staff at the Sir Stamford are exceptionally friendly and helpful, the Hotel itself was just beautiful, exquistely appointed and the bed so comfy!!! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldnt hesitate to recommend it to anyone wanting an affordable, luxury escape in the city.
