Getting there:To/From the Airports : Auckland's international and domestic airports are located 23 kilometres from the central city. Allow yourself 45 minutes travel to/from SKCYITY Hotel. A taxi or airport shuttle, is readily available outside the arrivals lounge at the airport. Alternatively contact Concierge for details or bookings. Buses : The Link Bus departs every 15-20 mins from Victoria St and provides a free service within the central Auckland circuit. Buses to all other areas are available from Victoria St or outside the Sky Tower for approx $2-4 per trip. For additional transport options contact Concierge for details.
Check-in Procedure:Please note SKYCITY Grand Hotel has a no party policy. A valid credit card (NOT debit card) is required upon arrival. Guests paying by debit card will need to present a valid credit card on arrival. NZ$500 Cash Bond + Nightly rate will be required upon check-in if paying Cash / EFTPOS/Visa Debit. An imprint of your credit card will be taken and the final bill will be settled on check out. Please note that you may be asked for photo ID at time of check in.
Car parking:Valet parking is available at a charge of $35.00 per day.
Child Policy:Up to 1 child under the age of 12 years may share a room with a paying adult free of charge (using existing bedding). Cots for infants are available free of charge.
Made to feel very welcome upon arrival. The atmosphere was warm/relaxing and welcoming. The free glass of bubbly was much appreciated. As a special treat for a Christmas escape it couldn't have been more perfect. :_
Coudn't have asked for better service - room was available early and check out extended following a family emergency. Sauna & gym area very nice - large lap pool. Great location with many restaurants and attractions nearby including transport. Will definately stay again.

We had a quick overnight visit to attend a function in Auckland, we have stayed here before and appreciate the amentities, location and most of all the excellent treatment you receive from all of the staff. Will certainly stay again.
SkyCity Grand was a very nice hotel. You can't beat the location or the staff. It is pretty much walking distance from anything you would want to do. It is located in the heart of Auckland so there is something for everybody. The hotel itself has many different restaurants and lounges but it is much more expensive then venturing off the property. Not only will you find better places to eat you will save a few dollars as well. Overall I would recommend SkyCity compared to the other hotels we saw in the city.

Great stay- service was excellent and the room was clean and tidy. Enjoyed the bars and other services of the hotel. Would strongly recommend to anyone wanting a place to stay.

A special deal gave us a great night in a centrally located 5 star hotel. Linked to the Casino if that is your thing but in central Auckland and close to business - which was my thing. Car parking is in the Casino car park which is okay but at $20 is more expensive than some other local hotels. Very friendly and helpful staff

Not bad for a business traveler.
No complaints would definately stay at the Sky City Grand next time I'm in Auckalnd, great service extended throughout the whole complex, room service meals arrived hot which is rare excellent food too.
I have marked down the cleanliness aspect as my first room had chewing gum all over the floor (I didnt help by standing in it either) The problem is the light colour of the carpet and things like that just arent picked up. THey immediately apologised and gave me another room which was great but the floors are just not clean. The stay itself was really good, mini bar stuff is poor and overpriced (I hate Corona) But the meal at Jade Dragon has to be the best Chinese meal I have ever had, the staff are unbelieveably friendly and nice in a laid back way so not too intrusive and I was even rememberd from the concierge from my last vist 18 months ago, so it felt like home. The lap pool is great and was well used by me. All in all a very relaxing three days and a great hotel to stay at. I will definitely stay there again
We stayed at Skycity Grand for our 17th wedding anniversary and found the facilities were absolutely right there for us. The pool/gym are was fabulous. The hotel room was great though the carpet was stained (whitish carpet, can't really avoid that)and there were several items listed on the inroom bar sheet that weren't actually there. Also the newspaper we ordered didn't turn up. But those were minor issues and we had an excellent time and plan to stay a whole weekend next time to utilize the restaurant downstairs for dinner and also to make the most of that day spa.

as bit dissapointed at check in and was served by the manager on duty, he never explained hotel check out,pool,room serivce or mini bar charges . A shame as i had a good stay and a good stay when i had stayed there previously.
