Sleep & Go Hotel Preston Guest Reviews

Great location & good value for money

4 out of 5

To avoid any confusion, this place is VERY BASIC. It is clean, comfortable and cheap. It is what one would consider "student" accommodation! I enjoyed it as it took me back to my student days. Just don't expect the world and you won't be disappointed!

Booked a renovated studio room over the weekend. The room is small but practical. Good matress, but only one waifer thin pillow. Air con. Shower was hot but compact. Arrived late and large car park was full so get there earlier. Cheap, clean and good for a sleep but not much else.

Rooms vary in terms of facilities and cleanliness. Studio room have flat screen tv whereas larger rooms have older televisions. I had one bad experience with poor quality cleanliness in a studio room but since then all has been fine. Location excellent for me and staff friendly and helpful.

The queen rooms are fantastic! The studio rooms are ok but not half as nice. Pay the extra $10 for the queen room! It's worth it!

Not only do you get a fridge and a flat screen Sky TV, but a microwave oven too. Just down the hall from my room was a well appointed kitchen and next to that a 24hr coin laundry. I will always be staying here in the future.

The showers are so bad you would get better water flow standing out in the rain , the beds are so uncomfortable and they have no extra pillows in the room , l have stayed in a cheaper hotel in collingwood closser to the city for less amount and has great showers and extra pillows and more comfortable beds and more parking under the hotel . the hotel is budget but not a t a budget price for the location.

We have stayed here before. This hotel is build on the old PANCH hospital site. Some of the rooms are very new, whilst others are remind me of the hospital rooms! The top three floors are lovely with great city views. The pool and the other facilities are great. Plus there is ample free car parking.

This motel was substandard. My wife and I had a very bad night because I was awoken at 3.AM and 5.30 AM by noisy guests talking loudly and slamming doors so I asked for a different room for the Friday night October 23rd on a different floor and offered to pay any difference in price required. The Man on reception said that the Hotel was totally booked out because of the Cox plate oand that I couldn't have a different room on the Friday ( next ) night. A friend of mine rang the same Hotel and booked a room in that same Hotel ten hours later (6pm Friday evening )and got a room! No shower curtain in the ensuite meant the bathroom floor got completely wet when anyone showered. No individual room controls for air conditioner and crockery was not cleaned properly. Also there were no instructions were provided in the room (No 6023) to tell people how to operate the air conditioning or the TV. Both nights people were wandering the corridor knocking on doors and slamming doors after midnight.

Very difficult to find as there is no signage out the front. You wouldn't think that it was part of the Rydges complex, unless you knew. Staff seemed to be unable to give accurate directions, which made it even more difficult.

Found room very small. Heating good. Use of microwave to boil water not satisfactory c.f. hot water kettle [there was none]. Hall carpets heavily stained. Food service excellent. Parking okay-we were lucky to get the final spot on our second night. TV reception very poor; tuning needed attention.
