A most enjoyable stay with the upgrade to the club facility fully recommended. The service in the club lounge was excellent and the benefits welcome after a hot day in Bangkok.

The Sofitel Silom Hotel Bangkok was outstanding. We stayed from Jan. 25-29th 2008. great views of Bangkok, friendly staff,the breakfast and happy hour were an added plus to our stay + friendly hotel guests. We decided to extend our stay at Sofitel Silom but it was booked. We went to the Grand Sukhumvit By Sofitel Bangkok.It was dated without views...small windows, hotel slightly unkept and not a 5 star hotel. We decided not to stay there. The hotel called for a taxi and wanted me to go to a travel agent to book another room elsewhere. I had to argue with the driver and hotel to take me to an internet cafe. I then booked the Lebua which was an outstanding 5 star hotel. The taxi took us there and said it was not in Silom area which it was and said it was an hour and a half ride and it only took 20 minutes and he charged $45 US dollars, asked for a tip, and should have been $2.00 to $5.00. Internet booking can save you money. This was a small annoyance in beautiful Bangkok. Marlene

Very friendly staff. Altogether a pleasant stay.

We stayed at the 'Sofitel Club'. It was excellent value and everything was of a high quality. We payed $200 (US) night which was probably lower due to it being rainy season.

very expensive hotel, just for example coke price 10bahts outside at any shop, in the hotel price for coke is 120bahts. Very overpriced hotel, small food selection at room service menu.

We liked the hotel. The only comment we wish to make is that staff politeness is overdone and too exaggerated.

Excellent hotel, great service, friendly staff, etc. The restaurants are excellent (I usually don't eat in hotel restaurants, but these have compelling menus). The only areas of improvement: PLEASE create a non smoking zone in V9 restaurant and bar and enforce it - an otherwise superb dining experience was spoiled by chain smoking Europeans at an adjacent table who clearly had no manners let alone consideration for anyone's health. And in-room facilities are a little lacking for a five star hotel.

I left a jacket and shirt hanging in the closet when I left. A week later I returned to Bangkok and called the hotel. Housekeeping had found the items and packed them. I was able to pick them up before flying home.

Luxurious and very well priced. Its location is within walking distance to the bars and tourist markets of Pat Pong. Spoil yourself.

A lovely hotel in the shopping heart of Bangkok. Rooms are very well appointed - especially the club floors.

Nothing but praise for this true five star hotel. A pleasure to stay here (again) and definitely recommended. Beautiful room, amazing restaurant on the top floor, great breakfast, and a fabulous lounge and bar are among the facilities you can enjoy.

We were very happy with all aspects of the Sofitel Silom and would definitely recommend it to our firends.

A GREAT HOTEL - WE WOULD LOVE TO STAY THERE AGAIN

Very swish, location good very close to night market & an easy walk to the sky train. Very busy with tour groups also. Great service but I think that has more to do with Thailand in general. Get a Angel Air taxi from the airport 600bht (works out to only about $6AUD more than a normal taxi but no queueing & a free tour the next day).
