Sofitel Macau At Ponte 16

Staff was very attentive and helpful. The facilities were superb. Only downside is not located walking distance to other casinos and attractions. However, it IS walking distance to the ruins of St. Paul.

An excellent stay in a nice hotel

We were delighted with the hotel which was certainly up to our expectations. The staff were very helpful and assisted when required even writing a message in Chinese to asssist in locating the Sofitel in Shanghai.

We have been to Macau before and will again and will definately stay at the Sofitel. It is a beautiful hotel and the room is devine. The staff cant help you enough and are so professional and courteous. We just love the hotel and would recommend it to everyone. It is very close to Senado Square with restaurants and shops. It is a small distance from the major casinos but taxis are so cheap and plentiful this is no problem.

Pleasant stay in this hotel with good services provided. Reception allow us for early check in. The room is clean and decent. I will definately book this hotel whenever i'm back to Macau.

Hotel is in the older part of Macau,in walking distance to local historical sites and shopping. Hotel is very clean with beautiful pool and surroundings, Michael Jackson display, restaurant, bar, casino. Room was large and very comfortable. city view was very interesting and beautiful at night. Service impeccable, shuttles to city, ferry, venetian and other casinos.Also Taxi travel cheap to other sites. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay of 2 nights, 3 days.

An absolutely GORGEOUS five star hotel, with the added advantage of having the MJ Gallery and MJ Cafe on-site. I went to these every day (being a Michael Jackson fan) and was visited at the hotel by local friends - also fans - who all spent time and money in the gallery and cafe. There are certainly much bigger and flasher casinos in Macau, if that's what you're after, but for accommodation the Sofitel quality of accommodation and service is hard to beat.

Great rooms, lovely staff, location great for walking to old part, just 5 minutes. However arrived at 1pm and could not get lunch as it was Xmas Lunch special only and this is the onbly restaurant. Could not get room servcie as I was not able to check in for another 2 hours. Went to bar for coffee instead, couldnt get a seat as only 7/8 tables for 408 room hotel. Checked out next day at 10.30am and went to lobby bar for coffee....closed, went to MJ Cafe for coffee, closed...suggested I went to Breakfast Restaurant for coffee but that was in full breakast service and I just wanted a quick coffee, so they offered the casino.....the coffee was so bad I left a cup on the bar. Went to get the shuttle bus back to ferry, queue so long it was a 40+ minute wait so paid for a taxi (same situation on arrival, had to take a taxi or wait 30 minutes). No spa yet but its coming. So Sofitel got none of my spend...but not for the lack of trying on my part! Greatly let down by the lack of facilities.

Really great hotel with fantastic views.

The hotel location was not in the centre of all the action but there are free shuttle buses that can take you to all the other places you need to go in Macau. The hotel itself was fabulous! From the moment you walk into the lobby to when you enter your room, you can sense the 5 star luxury experience. Everything was beautiful, very clean and the rooms was very spacious. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the only problem was that some don't speak english, so speak to people at the front desk if you need anything.

This hotel had one of the nicest rooms I have ever stayed in with a huge bathroom. Its not near the other hotel/casinos or restaurants in Macau all being a 20 minute walk away but the hotel does provide a free shuttleservice to the ferry port where you can then get free shuttles to the other casinos. However for the money it was fantastic value for such a nice hotel

Friendly and helpful staff. Only bad thing is many people smoking in the air-conditioned lobby... really leaves a bad smell in your clothes.

I would highly recommend this hotel to all.

Great hotel with good service overall, though there's some maintenance process around during our stay. 5-7 mins walk to tourist spot: Senado Square.

This hotel is located off the main casino district. The environment is condusive for those who just wanted to take a few day off. It took me less than 20 mins to reach the hotel via taxi from the airport and the only problem I encountered was the cab driver only recognise the hotel as Ponte 16, instead of Sofitel.

Due to my stay on a Saturday, I have to pay a pretty high weekend price. I've found the Check-in Staff very efficient, polite and professional and I am very lucky to have Gigi Ching serve me on both Check-in and Check-out. The room is well equipped and comfortable that I could sleep without any problem, unlike my hotel stay when I travel that I usually suffer from falling asleep. I am very impressed with the toiletries which are branded. I have already reserved a room for my next visit, though there are so many other hotels in Macau. Regarding Hotel Shuttle, I would like to suggest more frequent transfers between hotel and Macau Ferry Pier than 15 mins. and if there are additional routing to Taipa Ferry Pier would be great.
