Getting there:Located at 25 Collins Street, 23km from Melbourne International Airport. By car or taxi this is 30 minutes off peak or 45 minutes during peak periods. When leaving Melbourne International Airport, proceed along the Tullamarine Freeway, before turning left into Flemington Road. From Flemington Road turn right into Elizabeth Street and then left into Collins Street. Turn right into the hotel driveway located at 25 Collins Street. Access via the Tullamarine Freeway requires an access pass to be purchased, please contact Concierge should you require assistance.
Check-in Procedure:Check-in is available from 2pm daily from the level 1 Reception desk. Guests of Club Sofitel may choose to either check-in at the level 1 Reception Desk or proceed directly to the level 35 Club lounge where they will receive private check in.
Car parking:Valet car parking is available at from the hotels Collins Street driveway at charge of $40 for a maximum 24 hour period with unlimited entries and exits. Alternatively, public parking at Collins Place, located underneath the hotel, can be accessed from Flinders Lane.
Child Policy:All rates featured are for two (2) people. All room types have a maximum capacity of three (3) adults, or two (2) adults and one (1) child (under 12 years). A third period will be charged $80.00 per night for the use of a roll-away bed. For all Club Sofitel room & suites, a further charge of $40 per child, or $50 per adult to gain access to Club Sofitel facilities in addition to the rollaway charge. For all room types, a maximum of one cot per room is allowed on a complimentary basis.

We love the Sofitel. We have stayed here before and couldnt wait to return. The views from everywhere are fantastic. The Club Sofitel is excellent. Worth upgrading to this. Drinks every evening, and good canapes to go with it. The breakfast was also very good. Will be back.

Top class hotel as you would expect with the ACCOR group. Stayed here for our daughter's wedding..and received a lovely bottle of champagne to our room. Very comfortable beds, and spectaular views!
This is a fantastic hotel, from arrival to departure the service was exceptional. Have stayed at several hotels previously in Melbourne but have enjoyed my stay at the Sofitel the most. Highly recommend this hotel

although we stayed in suites on the higher levels, we could hear the voices of the guests in adjoining rooms causing disturbed sleep. the staff were amazing and the service levels excellent!

I found the service and standard of accommodation at The Sofitel to be exceptional. If I made any request it was always followed up to ensure it had been delivered. I would stay there again without hesitation.
This was the perfect weekend getaway surprise for my partner's birthday. I recommend 'Club Sofitel' if not only for the views of Melbourne but the great service. Club Sofitel has complimentary drinks, snacks, private rooms and DVD rental. Club Sofitel also has breakfast and you can order from the menu and also use the buffet, terrible coffee from the machine so I ordered coffee, all complimentary. I was a bit disappointed, on mentioning my partner's birthday on an earlier phone call, there were no birthday surprises in the room. We did get an hour later check out the next morning. It happened to be the opening night for 'Jersey Boys' and the hotel was full but I felt put aside whilst the celebrations went on. We stayed in a Club King room with fantastic views (48th floor), bed very comfortable, two armchairs, plush leather office chairs, unfortunately a smallish plasma TV, great coffee maker. I would love to go back to this Sofitel again and stay in a suite.
everything was pretty good especially the entertainment facilities but no tooth brushes or toothpaste was quite disppointing
We had a fantastic stay and were very sad to leave. The staff were very kind in acknowledging our wedding anniversary, leaving a card, chocolates and champagne in our room. I would recommend the hotel without hesitation. My only complaint was having to pay for valet parking - I think this should be included in the room price. having said this, the hotel minded our bags for us upon check-out so that we could do some Christmas shopping which would have saved us the cost of parking elsewhere. i cannot wait to return!
Amazing! Best service I have experienced in any hotel I've stayed in throughout the world. Had a corner suite overlooking the city and bay. Huge suite. Great, comfortable sofitel beds. Touchscreen panels controlling lighting moods, radio, tv, etc... very modern, but extremely comfortable. This is the only hotel I will stay in whilst in Melbourne now. Hoping that other sofitels around the world are just as good as am off to stay in 4 more of them in the next couple of months!

Very good large 5 star hotel and in a fantastic location. What it lacks in charm is made up for with excellent rooms and facilities. Paying extra for the Sofitel club is worth it if you want a few drinks and some reasonable snacks before heading out. The drinks available are of a good standard. You can also use the lounge until 1700 on the day of check-out which is nice if you aren't leaving town until later in the day. Please note alcohol is not served in the lounge until 1730.
