"The Sofitel Hyland is in excellent location around 5 min to The Bund, 1 min from the metro and in the centre of pedestrian shopping mall. Service is lower than what I had expected of the brand. The room is small, the bathroom is worse, more like a 3-star hotel I'd say, and so is not worth the price. Good for first time visitor who wants to be in a good location near the touristy stuff. "I have stayed Sofitel Hotels third time this year, startng in Feb. in
Dalat Vietnam, in June,Hangzhoun and Shanghai. Regarding the Chinese massage I experienced this time at both Sofitels, the effect was too much different though the cost was not so different; however this is a optional area and does not effect much for rating the hotels; overall I was satisfied with my hotel, especially the location in Shanghai.
