Sofitel Sydney Wentworth

The hotel staff was very friendly, and the room was fairly comfortable. The king bed was two double beds converted into a king. It was comfortable, but the connector was lumpy in the middle. The bathroom had a heated mirror but a weird shower with only a half of a shower door that leaked water. Room service food had good proportions, but the delivery fee was a little high. We appreciated the umbrellas given to us when it was raining. The concierge helped us immensely during our stay.

A very good hotel, let down by the reception experience at check-in - slow and disinterested. Apart from that, excellent staff at Concierge and housekeeping. It's a pleasure to stay here.

Great hotel with great service - close to shopping and restaurants and easy access in and out of city for driving.

We arrived for a 4 night stay at 4.10pm but the rooms we booked 7 months earlier were not available until 6.00pm. At this time of day, this was very unsatisfactory especially with an 80 year old as one of our party. A sympathetic porter kindly offered water and a drink pass which should at least have been forthcoming from the check in staff. The check in staff did not seem to be able to handle the paperwork and appeared to have no idea what to do. 2 hours later we were unable to use the room security key as the battery in the door needed to be replaced. We had come for a wedding and the initial experience was not 5 star !! The bed was uncomfortable because on one side you rolled out - used as a seat too many times. The remainder of the stay was satisfactory but there are many other hotels in Sydney where the service is far superior and which will attract my business in future.

We found the room to be on the small side but clean and comfortable. The hotel has no coffee shop which was a bit of an inconvience. I probably would not stay there again

Definitely a business hotel. Rooms are kind of on the small side, and the bathroom is quite small - although it has excellent amenities and a great powerful shower. The television was pretty average - small and didnt work very well (ie. screen kept on going blank). The bed is fantastic. Has a quality iron in the cupboard which is important when you are travelling for business. Free paper each day is a plus as well.

A top class hotel, you feel homely as you walk in the lobby. Beautiful flowers and the lavender oil fragrance. The ground staff are friendly and service with a smile. The room is comfortable with good fittings.

I got an excellent rate for this hotel and will certainly stay there again if a similar deal is offerred. My room was well laid out, quite spacious and there was no noise from outside the hotel nor from the hall or adjoining rooms. The bed was super comfortable and there was a bath and good lighting in the bathroom for make up. They make a big selling point of having a pillow selector, but after being delivered a memory foam and later a fibre pillow when I'd asked for a latex one, I gave up. Also having only one person handling checkouts on a business day is frustrating. These are small annoyances though and as stated earlier, I'd happily stay here again.

The hotel is lovely, however the service was the worst I've experienced. I was charged again for my room which had already been paid for through [this website], for which they only begrudgingly apologised for. They also got my check out date wrong and caused me to panic about being charged for a third time.

Great hotel and excellent location. Close to Circular Quay, the Sydney OperaHouse, The Rocks and the Sydney Tower.

bed not probably made and revealing the mattress. bath robe never changed or folded a guy came to check the mini bar right after our arrival, causing disturbance.

Would stay her again - experience was great overall. Parking is very expensive though so I would recommend not bring a car.

Fantastic service, and a truly beautiful hotel. They were very accomodating of our needs ie: we weren't happy with our first room provided to us due to size and even around the new years eve period they were happy to allow us to move rooms.

Beautiful hotel, flawless service and great location for circular quay as it's a 10 minute stroll. Was expecting a bigger room and perhaps something a little "special" for the price though

We were given a room that reeked of tobacco smoke when we complained we were told that it had been asmoking floor and it took a while for the smell to go. They then said would we like an upgrade at which we said yes but it became apparent that we were to pay for it.......after we had been disadvantaged!!! I dont think so. check out at 11 am (last check out time) on a saturday morning was horrendous. Why not staff up for it? So on balance it was Ok, the loaction in sydney is excellent but would we rush back there? No they did nothing to make us feel it was worth repeating.

My only disappointment was that early on Sunday morning there were half a dozen young yobos creating a disturbance on the 9th floor Other than that quite a nice hotel

The staff were helpful although unfortunately had to wait until 5pm to get my room due to slow servicing. Had requested quiet room but located just opposite lifts. This did not result in undue noise but would have preferred one away from lifts.

The services was very good & all the environment was good too. Except the breakfast (Buffet) is not many choice to compare with [other hotel] for my opinion. Other is was good including the room eventhoug its a bit small.

A wonderfull hotel with all the creature comforts - a totally pleasureable stay, we'll be back!!
