We were in town for a wedding and stayed just one night. The hotel was lovely, clean, and the staff incredibly hospitable. Champagne at check-in certainly helped, and our room was ready when they said it would be. I'd love to go back and take my dogs; it was delightful to stay in a place so welcoming of dogs and kids, yet be so elegant and peaceful. We'll certainly book here for a future trip to NYC.
Hotel was nice, clean and trendy. It was centrally located to a number of subways and restaurants. Like most NYC hotels the rooms are on the small side some please adjust your expectations.
The guestrooms are as eclectic and inviting as the SoHo neighborhood.
I just got back from the Soho Grand in NYC and I have to day it was one of the nicest hotels I have stayed at in the city. The room wasn't huge (it is NYC!) but everything was top notch, bed, bedding and even Frette robes in the room. Bathroom was spotless and the decor was hip but warm and inviting too. The room was super quiet at night, which sometimes can be a problem in the city. All of the staff couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating. We got there very early in the morning and the room wasn't quite ready so they called us as soon as it was done. We didn't eat there, but the bar area looked very nice. The shopping and restaurants can't be beat and it was really nice to get out of midtown after business was done.
Lovely staff within the well-oiled machinery of a decade-old hotel. Once-new edges (and social edge) have frayed, with the hip long having gone Bridge and Tunnel (though often International), as other boutique hotels have popped up Downtown. If one can find a deal, worth it for the location. Alternatives are the Mercer (never a deal) and DeNiro's Greenwich Hotel.
we absolutely loved it. the staff was amazing!!!
Fantastic location; lovely lobby; service is average; price is superb; staff don't really know much about new york and what's happening; wouldn't stay there more than 2 days;
Nice little botique hotel in the middle of SoHo. Food and drink expensive but great lobby. Small outside bar area that is hoppomg at night. Best thing here really is the location. Since there are not many hotels in this area, especially at this price it is a good fit into either the West Village area or the East Village area! Would definetly go back!
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The decor is very urban industrial- just what you would want when visiting Soho. I thought there could have been more information provided about the area- like a map or places of interest. I'm from New York so it wasn't that big of a deal but the area can be confusing and intimidating if you've never been there before.
We had a great stay, the place has a great atmosphere and is relaxing.
My husband and I love the Soho Grand. We stay frequently. The service and staff are always very accomodating and more importantly, friendly and not stuffy! It's a little pricey for the small rooms but always well worth the stay. Corner King rooms are great! And you can request a pet Goldfish during your stay.
Very contemporary hotel located in an excellent position. Service is very good. Some rooms are quite small and noisy if facing the back of the hotel.
Nice place, is located just at Broadway and Canal. Food is tasty and has a great place to chill outside.
Excellent extended weekend - will return to this hotel! Staff was VERY courteous & eager to please! Excellent location for us - 1 block to red and blue subway, grocery/deli, canal street for tourist shopping, and even 10 min. walk to Little Italy for dinner!
The room was very small, but you couldn't ask for a better location, and the hotel will even accept pets! (It is owned by the Hartz company, which makes pet food) Be sure to ask for a fish in your room and you can have company!
