Facilities are fantastic and staff are very friendly and helpful. Surely recommend this hotel to whom planning to visit Siem Reap.
This is a 5 star hotel with a large salt water swimming pool and 3 very good resturants and numerous other facilities. The staff were attentive and everything was done with a smile. One would have to be a seriously negative person to fault this place, and if we return to this town we will stay there again.
a very friendly hotel where your comfort and requirements come first. excellent facilities including meals and pool area
Their location is excellent and staff are very friendly. They are a relatively new hotel and so are still learning from their mistakes.
Excellent hotel, very orientated to the Japanese market so the beds are hard by western standards. Rooms are expensive but food and other services are quite resonable. Will arrange tours of the temples but check for the overall price as the cost of the driver and car and the cost of the guide are separate. Also, these costs don't include the entry ticket so they may quote $30 for the guide but the true cost is nearer to $100.
A wonderful stay at a great locale. Top notch service, a great pool and nice rooms. Food is so-so at the bars and breakfast isn't amazing, but both are servicable. Apparently not owned by Cambodian company (a Vietnamese oil company, actually) -- most of the major hotels in Siem Reap are foreign owned. A shame, as this is an area that needs to keep the tourist money for itself.
very nice hotel with fine service and good location; standart room have not tableau through the window. breakfast is super, the best of the bunch hotels !!! recommendable hotel !
Well-managed,clean & relatively new.Value for money.
The service and surroundings were excellent. The staff were very friendly indeed, which was very nice. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a beautiful pool setting, a lovely a la carte restaurant, and 2 great bars of differing natures. The main restaurant is nice for breakfast, but we did not visit the 3rd one. It really is very idyllic, and we were glad we made this choice. I think the internet description, perhaps because it is a rather new hotel, does not do it full justice.
It is good to finally have a luxury hotel owned and operated by Camdodian people. I have previously always stayed at Raffles Grand'Angkor down the road and was pleasantly surtprised by the change- I recognised half the staff from my previous stays in Siem Reap from the Raffles hotel. Breakfast is superb with all trappings you would expect from a luxury hotel with occassional Cambodian twists. Whilst some of hotel's public space furshings or decor is perhaps to garish to western eys (ie sunglass- bright cooured pictures of the Angkor temples on the lift doors) the rooms are very tasteful and locally inspired. Spa had many treatments which should be tried for touch of reasonably priced luxury!
Excellent hotel. The service in the hotel was superb - nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. The buffet breakfast was particularly good - excellent choice, nicely presented and cooked breakfast was hot. One of the best hotel breakfasts that we've ever had. A very enjoyable stay and we would certainly stay at this hotel again and recommend it to anyone that was visiting Siem Reap.
The service was exceptional. The staff extremely friendly and very efficient. The facilities were also exceptional. Attention to detail was excellent
A new hotel (opened in Dec 2005), which has excellent service from the moment they meet you at the airport with cold water and colder hand towels through to front desk, restaraunts and support staff. The rooms were good. The pool great. Choice of restaurants good with menu selections as expected from a 5 star hotel. Recommended.
My girlfiriend and I stayed at the Sokha Angkor for 3 nights in February while visiting the Angkor sites. The Sokha definately surpassed my expectations. The service provided by the staff was impeccable, and we generally felt very welcome and catered for for the duration of our stay. The staff were very friendly and extremely polite. The facilities definately answer to the needs of any traveller, and the pool is epic. I would recommend this hotel to anybody staying in Siem Reap. A real gem!!
