Driving Instructions from Rotorua to Solitaire Lodge:
Starting from the lake end of Fenton St., drive South down Fenton St until you reach the second set of traffic lights at a large intersection. Making sure you are in the East bound lane, turn left down Te Ngae Road. Follow this road for roughly 2 Km until you reach a large double lane round-a-bout. Turn right up this round-a-bout onto Tarawera Road.
Continuing straight along this road, Solitaire Lodge is 19 km or 25 minutes from this point. After approximately 12.5km Tarawera Road turns to the right toward “The Landing”. Please continue straight ahead on Spencer Road for another 6km. Turn right into Ronald Road where a sign directs you to Solitaire Lodge 400 metres.
